Stella

The next day, Adrian went to meet up with someone he hadn't seen in a long time.

I didn't know the guy, so what was the point of me going.

I mean, I wanted to join him just in case he needed me.

But Adrian told me it's best if I don't go. I have to say that I was happier than I've ever been in a million years.

I was just thrilled and excited emotionally because of the fact that Adrian and I were now officially a couple.

I could never be happier.

I was sitting on my bed and reading one of the books Adrian had on his bookshelf while I waited for Adrian to get back from the meeting.

After a while, the door opened.

It was Adrian.

Adrian! I exlaimed excitedly.

I have to admit I never really get excited when I see people, but having to see Adrian just brightens up my day every time.

Honestly, I feel like I'm starting to love him more than I thought I would.

Hello my love! Adrian said happily as he came in and closed the door.

He walked over to me. Come here. he said. I didn't have to hear it twice. I got up from the bed and just ran into his arms and kissed him.

Adrian smiled a bit between the kiss and kissed me back.

We pulled away after a while.

I've so missed you today.

No matter how many times we touch, it always feels like the first time.

I always feel as though my heart could start beating again. He told me.

Finally, something we can both agree on. I said flirtatiously.

Adrian gave me a warm smile as he chuckled softly.

So how did the meeting go? I asked him.

It went well, thank you. He said sweetly.

I'm sorry you couldn't come with me to visit Lord Reginald.

I do still have many, dear ones, after all, and I have to make sure they get attention too. He said.

So, what did you guys talk about? " I asked him.

Uh... it wasn't anything terribly important, just a social visit, really. Adrian explained as he sat on the bed with me.

I haven't spoken with Lord Reginald in a long time, and I thought we were due for a good catching up, and honestly, I don't know that you would really like him.

Despite him being a much younger vampire than I.

He's well... he's old-fashioned.

I mean, he doesn't respect mortals much.

In fact, he often calls them cattle.

Isn't that terrible? Adrian said as he looked at me as if he wanted me to agree with him.

Which I did, of course. I mean, I admit that becoming a vampire changes your view of mortals.

It does.

But that's part of being what we are. Adrian explained.

Adrian

I know that some mortals would think that my habit of dressing up my dear ones and setting them around the manner as decorations a little... demeaning.
