Stella
It was a Saturday night, and my parents and I were at the table having dinner.
Of course, it wasn't a really good one because my parents were arguing like always.
My dad was on the phone texting his boss about who knows what.
It wasn't until he put his phone down and noticed mom staring at him, disturbed.
What? I have important phone calls to take. Dad said.
How many times do I need to tell you not to be on the phone while we're having dinner. Mom said.
And who are you to tell me when not to get on my phone.
I have important stuff to do. I do it because I'm trying to earn enough money as I can to give a future to my daughter.
Besides, why are you complaining about me working when you are the one who doesn't even know how to cook well?
Dad said with sarcasm in his voice.
Oh yeah, well, you barely know how to work hard at the office.
I bet that you are barely even trying.
Don't you say that to me that I'm the incharge one around here.
Dad said angrily, getting up from the table along with mom as they continued to agrue with each other.
It wasn't until I couldn't take it anymore and put an end to it.
Damn it! I've had it with guys! I yelled, getting up from the table before running to the door as I stormed out of the house.
Stella! Stella!!! Dad yelled as they watched me run off until I disappeared into the street.
Aren't you going to go after her? Mom asked. You go after her.
That's why you're her mom. Dad said as she sat on the couch.
You are a good for nothing bastard. You always leave me doing all the work.
Mom said angrily as she started heading towards the door.
The good for nothing one is you. Dad yelled out.
Mom ignored him and slammed the door behind her, leaving dad sitting there in the sofa laughing sarcastically.
I seriously couldn't take it anymore. Every day, their fighting got worse.
I just couldn't stand it anymore. I just had no other choice but to just get out of the house.
I couldn't stand another minute hearing them fight like that.
That's how fed up they had me. I have been walking for hours by now as it started to get dark.
The minute you know it, I was in the middle of nowhere.
All I know is that I was walking through what seemed like a dark forest.
