Their captain, Monkey D. Luffy, had been captured and imprisoned in a heavily guarded marine prison. Determined to rescue their beloved captain, the crew devised a plan to infiltrate the prison under the cover of darkness.
As the night fell, the crew gathered near the prison, ready to execute their plan. With their distinct personalities and unique abilities, each member had a role to play. Knowing that splitting up would increase their chances of finding Luffy, the crew decided to divide into two groups.
Zoro was paired with Nami. As they ventured deeper into the labyrinthine prison, Zoro's notorious sense of direction kicked in. Despite Nami's warning, he found himself separated from her and hopelessly lost.
With his swords in hand, Zoro wandered through the dimly lit corridors, desperately searching for a way to rejoin his comrades. As fate would have it, he stumbled upon a ventilation shaft that seemed promising.
Without a moment's hesitation, Zoro climbed into the vent, hoping it would lead him to Luffy's location.
The cramped space within the vent forced Zoro to crawl on his hands and knees. The metallic grating beneath him made an eerie sound with every movement, amplifying the tension in the air. As he made his way through the maze-like vents, he could hear distant voices echoing in the distance.
Suddenly, Zoro found himself directly above the boss' office. Peeking through the vents, he saw the imposing figure of a high-ranking Marine captain, surrounded by his subordinates. The room was filled with maps, intelligence reports, and other classified documents.
Zoro's heart raced as he listened to the conversation unfolding below. The captain's voice was stern and authoritative, giving orders to his underlings with an air of superiority. It was clear that this was a man of great influence and power within the Marine ranks.
With his curiosity piqued, Zoro strained to listen more closely. The captain's words revealed valuable information about Luffy's whereabouts and the prison's security measures. Zoro knew that this knowledge could be crucial in their mission to rescue their captain.
Though before he left, he heard something else which made him stop and listen for a little longer.
"So what about the Marine that caught Monkey D Luffy?" One of the marines asked.
"Wasn't it Zara that caught him?" Another asked.
"Really?" One of them said curiously. "She's getting more powerful as the day goes by."
The fourth officer, who had been silent until now, spoke up. "Yes, Zara has been showing tremendous promise lately. Her performance has been exemplary, and she's been gaining recognition from the higher-ups."
The officer commanded the room with an aura of power and dominance, even more so than the captain. His presence was undeniable, as if he had been born to lead. His piercing gaze and strong demeanor made it clear that he was a man of authority and influence.
Everyone in the room seemed to be in awe of him, hanging on to his every word. Zoro knew that he was someone of great importance, but he had no idea who he was.
The captain nodded in agreement, a hint of pride in his voice. "Yes, indeed. Not even I expected her to do so well."
"Mr. Vega," the officer started. "Don't get attached to her. We don't want to keep an eye on you when she is going to be put to death," he warned. "It's not wise to grow fond of someone who is ultimately expendable."
"Yes sir," Mr. Vega answered, his face solemn. He knew that the officer was right, and that Zara was merely a pawn in a much larger game. But he couldn't help but feel a twinge of sadness for her.
