Luffy stood up, his usual exuberance radiating from him as he clapped his hands to gather everyone's attention. The lively chatter that filled the air gradually faded, replaced by an eager silence as the crew turned their eyes toward their captain.
With a wide grin, Luffy announced, "Alright, everyone! I have something special to celebrate today!"
His enthusiasm was infectious, and soon all eyes were on him, curious about what he had in store. Zara felt a mix of surprise and excitement wash over her. She had only just joined them, and now here she was, about to be honored in front of this eclectic group of pirates.
"Let's raise our glasses for Zara!" Luffy declared, his voice booming with joy. The crew erupted into cheers, their drinks clinking together in a chorus of celebration. Zara's cheeks flushed with warmth as she realized the significance of the moment.
"I can't believe this is happening," she whispered to herself, a smile spreading across her face. As the crew continued to cheer, they began to gather around her, eager to learn more about their new companion.
"So, Zara, did you have any family that you left behind?" Nami asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.
Zara took a deep breath, feeling a sense of belonging she had longed for. "Well, I had my brother before he passed away a long time ago," she began, her voice steady.
"I grew up in that small town, and I would often watch the ships sail by, imagining one day being on them but my job required me stay on the island and on sea. Today, I decided to leave everything behind and chase my dream."
The crew listened intently, their expressions a mix of admiration and intrigue. "And now, here I am, ready to make my own adventures with you!" Zara concluded, her heart swelling with joy as she realized she was finally part of something extraordinary.
Luffy's frustration was palpable as he stared at the solitary piece of meat left on the table. "What do you mean this is the only one left, Sanji? You can't be serious!" he exclaimed, his voice rising in disbelief. Sanji, with a smirk on his face, leaned against the counter, arms crossed.
"I'm telling you, Luffy, that's the last one. You've eaten everything else!" he replied, trying to maintain his composure while secretly enjoying the sight of Luffy's dismay.
However, Luffy wasn't convinced; he could sense that Sanji was holding back more food, and the thought of it made his stomach growl even louder.
Just as Luffy was about to launch into another round of complaints, Zara, who had been quietly observing the exchange, stepped forward and tapped him gently on the shoulder.
"Hey, Luffy, why don't you let me help you out?" she offered with a warm smile. Luffy turned to her, his eyes lighting up with hope.
"Really? You can do that?" he asked, his excitement bubbling over. Zara nodded confidently, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Of course! Just give me a moment."
In a matter of moments, Luffy's plate was overflowing with the same succulent meat that had just been devoured, seemingly appearing from thin air.
The room fell silent, eyes wide with disbelief as everyone turned to Zara, who stood nearby, her expression a mix of exhaustion and anxiety. The tension was palpable as they awaited her explanation, noticing the sheen of sweat glistening on her forehead and the pallor of her complexion.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Zara managed to catch her breath, her voice shaky yet resolute. "It takes a tremendous amount of energy for me to conjure up such quantities of food," she admitted, her gaze darting around the room, meeting the concerned eyes of her friends.
