The Mount Massive Asylum Incident.

Chapter 3: Demented Halls.

You walked forward, looking around.
The hallway led to some rooms in front of you.

Entering one, it was empty. Just a desk with a computer on it. The room small with just a few windows on the wall.

Looking out a window, you were high up. Definitely wasn't surviving the fall if you tried jumping.

Exiting the room, you entered the room next to it. Finding the same exact looking office but this time with a document on the desk.
You picked it up and recorded it, beginning to read:

"Our idea to build exits all throughout the asylum has gotten the greenlight by the higher ups. Make sure to start making them, shouldn't take too long. I've decided to start with the Male Ward as well. The Female Ward is next up on the list."
"You guys reading this, (You know who you are.) REMEMBER TO BUILD SOME IN THE LAB AS WELL. We don't want Murkoff to be pissed off."

Judging from the document, you should head for the Male or Female Ward.
You had no idea what the lab it wrote about was however.

"New objective: Reach the Female or Male Ward."

Leaving the room, you continued down the hallway. Leading to a gate.
Trying to open it, it was locked.

You could hear faint screaming and yelling in the distance.

Turning around, you went back into the room with nothing in it.
Turning on your night vision.
It revealed a vent up in the top left corner.

However, it was too far up.

You grabbed onto the desk, pulling it towards the vent. The computer falling off the desk and onto the floor. It's screen shattering.

Finally lining it up under the vent, you climbed on the desk and jumped up, grabbing onto the vent and climbing inside. Pulling out your camera.

It was pitch black inside so you needed to use your night vision again.

After some time of crawling through, you saw an opening leading out. Not a drop down however like last time.
It was bright outside, so you turned the night vision off.

You peeked outside, zooming in with your camera to look around.

Seeing no one around, you decided to drop down. Cushioning your fall with your hands.

Getting up, you started recording again. Hopefully you were close to one of the Wards.
Seeing another door up in the hall, you decided to open it and see what was inside.

Suddenly as you did, another Variant jumped at you. Screaming and then running away.

You gasped as you were frightened, but calmed down shortly after.

You entered the room to find the floor covered in blood, with mad ramblings written with more blood on the walls.
All of them were unreadable.

However, one message was readable throughout the ramblings. Highlighted in big letters:

"Death is our only way of peace."

You recorded this of course, writing down more notes:

"The more I try to get out, the more I feel like I'm going deeper and deeper into this place. The guy who just ran away probably wrote this. I don't blame him in the slightest. If anything, I'm slowly starting to believe it too."

You looked around again but with night vision, revealing a path in the darkness. The blood on the ground slowly getting less and less down the hallway. The rambles however being the complete opposite and increasing.

The rambles were colliding into each other. Being even more unreadable.
Ultimately all of it leading to a door.

You opened the door, revealing a key hanging off a nail on the wall.
Candles were lit all around the place.
There were also messages near the surroundings of the key on the wall, Reading:

"DON'T TAKE IT"
"DON'T GO TO THE FEMALE WARD"
"LET THE KEY REST"

You however, disregarded this, taking the key.

Heading back out, you started walking around this area. Trying to find an entrance to the Female Ward.

You'd probably find it soon.
And you'd get to that exit.

.....

......Right?
