Third person's P.O.V:
In the private chamber, King Jeon Jungkook found himself caught in a maelstrom of thoughts. The melody he had heard the night before echoed in his mind, pulling at something deep inside him. He couldn't stop thinking about it. He wanted to hear it again.
The magical notes seemed to echo through the corridors of his thoughts, and he yearned to experience that magic once more. As moonlight spilled into the room, casting ethereal patterns on the walls, he made a decision.
It wasn't usual for a king to sneak around his own palace, but the idea excited him. He wanted to see the musician again, not as a king, but as someone ordinary.
Swiftly, he changed into a simple courtier's attire, concealing his royal identity. The feeling of being just another person was strangely freeing, like a breath of fresh air after years of duty.
Once ready, he stepped into the night, his heart beating fast with a mix of nerves and excitement. The moon illuminated his path as he made his way to the garden, the very place where fate had orchestrated their meeting the night before.
When he reached the spot, he saw the musician sitting quietly by the pool, looking up at the moon.
The moonlight danced upon the water's surface, creating a breathtaking interplay of light and shadows. Hidden in the shadows, Jungkook watched, captivated not only by the moonlit scene but by the figure before him.
The musician, with their back to Jungkook, suddenly stirred. As they reached for a flute lying beside them, they turned slightly, and a glimpse of their face became visible.Jungkook's pulse quickened with the faint hope of catching a glimpse of the musician's features. However, a veil covered their features, hiding their identity.
His heart fluttered, filled with both curiosity and a hint of frustration.
Then, the first note of the flute broke the silence. The music rose into the night, soft and beautiful, wrapping around him like a warm breeze. Every note seemed to speak to him, pulling him deeper into the moment. The frustration he'd felt vanished, replaced by an all-encompassing enchantment.
It was more than just a melody, it felt like a conversation between souls, one that needed no words.
As the gentle notes continued to drift through the air, Jungkook felt something inside him begin to ease.
Each sound seemed to carry away a piece of the weight he always bore—duties, expectations, the constant need to lead and protect. The tightness in his chest, the heaviness that came with wearing the crown, all of it started to melt into the night.
He closed his eyes for a moment, letting the melody wash over him like a tide. It wasn’t just beautiful—it was freeing.
For the first time in what felt like forever, he wasn't a king. He wasn't a ruler or a warrior. He was simply a man, standing beneath the stars, listening to a stranger's song.
The music wrapped around him gently, like a lullaby only he could hear. It made him want to step closer, to lose himself in that sound completely. To forget the throne, the endless decisions, the loneliness that came with power.
Jungkook didn't understand how or why, but every note pulled him further from the world he knew—and deeper into something he hadn't felt in a long time.
Peace.
And maybe… longing.
As the final notes of his song faded into the night, Jimin let out a soft breath, lowering the flute from his lips. The silence that followed wasn’t empty, it was full, like the garden itself was holding its breath.
Then, it happened again. That strange feeling.Like a thread tugging gently at the back of his mind. A flutter beneath his skin. A quiet whisper without words.
His fingers tightened slightly around the flute. He slowly turned his head.
The garden looked the same as always, still, beautiful, moonlit. But Jimin's eyes narrowed, scanning the shadows between the trees. A chill slid down his spine. He wasn't sure what he was looking for… until he saw it.
Just the edge of a dark robe.
A flicker of movement disappearing behind a tall column of ivy near the garden wall.
His heart skipped.
Someone had been there.
Just like the night before.
He stood up slowly, the soft rustle of his silk robes the only sound. His eyes remained fixed on the spot where the movement had vanished.
He wasn't imagining it.
They had come back.
To be continued....
