Chapter 4 - The party that started it all

My phone had 166 unread messages, from private chats and group chats all about tonight, and 16 missed calls, jeez I must of really totally spaced on this party with what I was going through today, maybe not the best time to give a boy my phone for the day, I responded to the group chat, with all 5 of my close friends and as soon as I typed and sent, my phone lit up with a video call, holding the phone up so I didn't have to explain my toga blanket, I accepted ."Oh My God, where have you been??" violet said as soon as my camera connected " What happened?" Penelope added, my mouth opened to speak but I was cut off "are you ok?!" Tabitha was worried as she got closer to her camera in the hopes see could see me better "we've been calling and trying to contact you!" Cleo waded in on the conversation, during all these questions I squint my eyes to see there all prepared to attend the party, hair salon styled, dresses to match accessories, "can you all come to mine? I'll explain once you get here" was my only response to everyone, my tone was dull and tired, My friends didn't even question my response, the video call ended abruptly, I searched my bag for tommy's phone and I found it, he had missed calls and messages too, I don't know what went through my head but I listened to my gut and plugged in his phone to my laptop , I started to download a complete copy, I was in the shower when they all crowded into my house, high heels off at the door, as they hoard towards my room, violet came to find me straight away and opened my ensuite bathroom door first "Lace?" she said while the door creaked open, the shower droplets felt like they were slipping off my entire body, I turned the temperature up so high I thought I could burn off the memories of today, I stood looking up at my square rainfall shower head and just thought why me? Was I this unlucky? and why did I feel so incredibly different? I turned to face violet as Pen and Tab followed closely behind her, I smiled because my friends came to my aid always ,my head just hung there waiting for my friends to ask every question under the sun, I told them everything, not leaving out a single detail while I showered and exfoliated, they clung onto my every word and couldn't believe the two new alpha wolfs where there, of course I left that little detail to the very last minute to get there reaction, violet handed me a clean crisp white 100% cotton towel and I snuggled into it, my head poked round the door to smile at Cleo and piper sitting upright on my bed listening to every juicy detail, while I stood there in the door way between my bathroom and bedroom in my towel freshly out the shower I got a good look at my friends.

Violet had artistically incorporated her flowers that are growing out of her skull into a French braid starting at the root of her right hand side forehead flowing down around her head clipped behind her left ear while the rest of her hair flowed in big wavy curls, of course she's gone for a olive green one shoulder wrap floor length gown that was fitted to her body, her make up looked professional all of them did actually, just a hint of olive green eye shadow with some eye liner and mascara , a light pink tint to her cheeks and a soft peach lipstick she's chosen. Penelope has gone with a high pineapple ponytail on top flowing down to mix with the rest of her uncontrollable curly blonde hair, her golden eye shadow blends well with her contour and she's finished off the look with light rouge lips, her dress a trumpet styled gown with sequins on the bodice a very royal blue brings out her hair and eyes beautifully , I glance over at Tabitha whose wearing a torso hugging A-line silky burgundy dress with a skirt that flows out she's style her hair curling it away from her face with light flying waves one side but the other side its sprayed in place combed back with a small thin gold headband to piece it together she's gone minimal with her make up keeping her look fresh and effortless, she's used a light coverage foundation with a hint of blush and subtle highlighter for a glow , really pale pink eyeshadow and that pops the black mascara , her light pink lips match the light pink pearl earrings she's wearing , I'm sure her shoes match as well , she's covered for the whole night and topped up on potions so she's showing as much skin as she can while she can I guess, I glance over at Cleo it's so like her to go with a salmon pink spaghetti strap, v- neck ball gown princess style dress , it starts to ruffled from under her sternum to her toes that dress is perfect for her, what surprised me was she's combed and straighten out her ringlet hair and style it completely over to one side very wild like with a gorgeous matching pink flower clip to hold it , I've huffed in appreciation for her make up , she's gone very glam bold , with heavy eye liner , topped with pink glitter eye shadow, fake eyelashes she's contoured perfectly and finished it off with a cranberry lipstick, ah now piper, she never disappoints with her lavender off shoulder high waisted mermaid style dress , body hugging to the extreme but she did have the body for it, complete with a fishtail braid with strands of hair falling around her face, she's gone all black Smokey eyes with fake lashes as well, contoured her cheekbones and gone for a matt dark purple lipstick , she's kept her hair dyed purple so I guess that's her colour of the month.
