What Do You Mean Wikipedia Doesn’t Know How To Defeat The Sirens?

     Life is great. We have to record a song, memorize the lines of said song and make a choreo for, you guessed, the same song. Oh but it gets better, whilst preparing I also have to be a functioning member of society and work. Oh yeah and don’t forget about the three hot evil guys who caught onto us and are already plotting to get rid of us. We know now that they’re sirens, but.. Besides what mythologies say, we don’t know anything about them. Amidst all the work that has been going into District 9, we now have to research a way to defeat these sirens. Only problem is no source knows how to defeat them. So we have to somehow figure out a way to defeat them. My guess is music but it’s not like our performance was strong enough to do anything. It was only good enough to let us into the top sixteen. As far as I’m concerned the razzle dazzles didn’t plan on us advancing, so us getting in was a surprise to them. Meaning we have to bring an even bigger performance. I thought Hellevator was the best we could get but I guess with time we’ll become even better. Besides, Minho doubts we’ll get better, now I wanna improve solely out of spite. My phone begins to ring, Seungmin is calling. “You ready to record today? We’re gonna record at Chan’s house.” “Already? Sure, I’ll come over.” I wasn’t expecting to be recording already but we barely have any time so it makes sense. I still haven’t memorized all of my lines though.. I just gotta hope for the best, I guess.

     Chan lives close to the school so getting to his house wasn’t all that hard. His house is also significantly neater than Jisung’s. I mean maybe it’s because he lives alone. But anyways, I joined everyone in Chan’s room so we could record. “Am I late?” I ask, putting my stuff on the ground and sitting beside it. “Nah, you’re good,” Changbin says, typing away on Chan’s laptop. Chan sits next to me as Changbin and Jisung have claimed his bed. “How’s research going?” He asks, seemingly worried. I sigh knowing I’ve come up with pretty much nothing. “Sorry, I haven’t found a way to defeat them yet. All I’ve found is a few lengthy descriptions on what they are, but we already know that stuff.” Chan also sighs and lays flat on the ground. “It’s alright, we still have some time to find a way, I just hope we’ll be able to figure something out.” “I mean, I might be wrong but I think music is the way to beat them. Like, we beat them at what they do best.” “Hmm, I see what you mean, but are we capable of beating them where we are now? I’m not saying we’re bad by the way, I’m just saying it’ll be extremely difficult to defeat them with our music.” “Well, if I’m gonna be honest, if there’s something we have that other groups don’t is that our music fully represents us. Everything about it screams ‘Stray Kids’.” “Yeah, I get what you mean. You ready to start recording District 9?” “Yeah, I just need to get the lyrics.” “No problem,” Chan says as he jumps up and goes over to his desk. 

      Chan comes back to me with a couple papers in his hands and passes them to me. “The parts highlighted in pink are yours.” I looked through the lyrics but only a couple lines were highlighted in pink. In fact, it seemed like Jisung and Changbin had most of the lines. I mean, I get that they rap and 3racha’s music is rap or whatever but.. I kinda would like to sing. Especially since we know my voice has power against the sirens. Not only that but seeing so little lines for myself reminds me of what Felix had told me before. Hey, Chan, uh..” “Hmm?” “I only got a few lines uh, is there any way that I could get just a few more? “Oh, yeah, uh..” Chan sits back down and sighs. “I didn’t wanna bring it up, but.. Something seems off with Changbin and Jisung. I tried telling them earlier that the distribution should be more fair but they didn’t want to give up their lines,” Chan whispers so that Changbin and Jisung can’t hear. “Seriously? That’s..” “You can try asking Jisung, he does have vocal parts so maybe he’ll give some of his vocal lines to you.” ‘I’ll try, I guess.”
