"Charlie," Ziggy says when she gets back to the cabin, "Cindy——"
"She didn't mean it, yeah, I know," Charlie answers. She lies on her bed, back facing Ziggy. The redhead walks over and sits on the end of the bed, back facing Charlie.
"Cindy's dumb, you know?" She says, "She doesn't know what she's talking about."
"Maybe she does," Charlie says, abruptly sitting up to face Ziggy, "Maybe she's right. If I were to go to jail, my mom or Nick would probably get me out. Then I'd be grounded and have no life."
"Okay, so?" Ziggy shakes her head, not understanding.
"What if you went to jail?"
"I'd be in jail," Ziggy answers, "I don't understand what you're saying."
"I'm different."
"Okay, so am I!" She argues.
"Not in that way," Charlie sighs, turning away.
"What... what are you talking about?" Ziggy asks.
Charlie shakes her head, almost in tears. She's about to open her mouth to speak when wailing sirens pull their attention away from each other.
"What's going on?" Ziggy asks, jumping up from Charlie's bed. She goes to the window as Charlie gets up and walks toward the door, "Wait for me."
The girls leave their cabin and walk toward the Mess Hall, but keep their distance. The wailing sirens grow louder as police vehicles and an ambulance pull into Camp Nightwing. Most of the camp is now watching as paramedics go into the Mess Hall. Tommy and Cindy come out of the Mess Hall seconds later.
"Your sister," Charlie says, nodding her head toward the pair, "Maybe she's going to jail."
Ziggy huffs and gives a slight grin. Her grin drops, however, when Nurse Lane comes out of the Mess Hall on a stretcher, strapped down.
"Whoa," Charlie says.
"Nurse Lane," Ziggy says softly, crossing her arms over her chest. Charlie furrows her eyebrows, now more curious as to what happened. And how Tommy and Cindy were involved. Before the girls go to visit Cindy, Sheila and her friends decide to pay the girls a visit.
"Hey, witch," Sheila says shoving Ziggy's arm. She knocks into Charlie slightly, "So sorry. I know you and Nurse Psycho were close. I guess you can visit her in jail now."
"Fuck off, Sheila," Charlie spits from behind the redhead. She grabs Ziggy's wrist gently to get her to move away as Sheila steps into Charlie's face.
"By the way, you might wanna check your stuff. I think there was an accident in Cabin Five, bitch," Sheila grins. Charlie turns to Ziggy, both of them concerned as to what Sheila did. They run off toward their cabin as Sheila, Annie, and Becky all laugh at them.
"Look at them!" Annie laughs.
"Hurry, witch! Run!" Sheila adds. As Charlie and Ziggy run by, Officer Kapinski stops to talk with Charlie's older brother, Nick.
"Hey, Nicky," He greets.
"Officer Kapinski."
"Been meaning to say I'm sorry about your Pops. He was a good man," He says, "He was a great man. Taken too soon."
"Thank you. Yeah. We all miss him. Big boots to fill," Nick replies rather maturely for someone of his age.
"Well, he was at peace, knowing one day you'd be following in his footsteps," Officer Kapinski says, "Sheriff Nick Goode's got a good ring to it. You just go easy on me when you're my boss, huh?"
