Shravani's POV

"I need to have a word with you." I was snapped out of my thoughts by mom. I nodded looking up at her and indicated her to proceed further.

"Shravs you said you are opting for abortion," she started, and I realized where this conversation was leading to.

"You have signed projects already, so when are you---"

"I am keeping this baby." And I am forced to do it.

"What?" she was shocked and dumbfounded.

"Yes." I don't even want to speak about this matter.

"Why do you want to keep it?"

"Because I am forced into it Mom and this is my mistake before marriage I agreed to it, now please leave me alone." she was taken aback and flabbergasted by my outbursts.

"What? What are you talking about?" she further interrogated.

"Mom, this marriage is not normal, I knew Jaiveer wanted an heir to acquire his grandfather's inheritance and I agreed to it, and yes, there is no going back, he has papers with my signature." I couldn't keep all this to myself anymore as I started blurting it out.

"Oh my God, why didn't you tell me or your dad before?" Because I didn't want and I was an impulsive bitch that I agreed to Jaiveer, unaware that he was plotting and making contracts and all, all the way.

"Mom there is nothing to talk about, this is my problem, I'll handle it by myself," I stated, looking away.

"No this is not your problem, you are stuck and in a mess and damn I can't believe Jaiveer has done such shit with you." Yes, Mom and I let him do it. I let him stamp on my heart again and again.

"And this is not acceptable, he is forcing you to keep the baby, it's your body your choice." No Mom, I agreed to it, I was impulsive, and I thought he would change, but he was stubborn and still stuck in his point.

"I am sorry, doll." she sat beside me cupping my cheeks, "You are going through so many things these days, and I was so unaware." she wiped my tears and hugged me.

I pulled back from the hug not wanting to break down, "I am fine, Mom."

"No you aren't, and it's okay, you need to stop hiding your pains, please try to share everything with me." she is the best, but I am not. She is successful, and I on the other side doesn't deserve to be her daughter, I am too fucked up.

"Thank you, mom." I smiled at her.

"Everything will be fine, Sweetheart." she pecked on my forehead, "I'll make everything alright."

You can't make everything alright, Mom, it's me and my problem.

I looked down from the balcony, Jaiveer was just down the stairs trying to fix Dad's vintage car, I thought about last night and his changed demeanour, but It was short-lived as I saw Dad marching out of the mansion and going straight to Jaiveer.
