LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT

Love could come at any time. There is love at first sight to love after many years of being together. Eve had never experienced romance with anyone. She wanted a boyfriend, but that opportunity never came. Peter was like a brother and Drax, well he wasn't ideal in any situation. This man in front of her was different—he made her stomach twist as soon as he placed his eyes on her. She couldn't understand it. He's Sovereign yet different. Had she just fallen for a stranger whose name she did not know? Eve gripped her pistols as her palms grew sweaty, So sweaty, she looses her grip—listening to them clank to the ground.

What is happening?

Why did her heart race against her chest? She couldn't take it.

The man was the one to break the space between them, he with curiosity and caution moved right in front of her. The emptiness he felt vanished, just as the image of her face made it vanish back home. And Eve felt a warmth grow inside of her too, but she was too afraid to look up at him. She should be punching him in the face, but her cheeks flushed instead.

"Eve?" Adam repeats her name, slightly moving his head to examine her face.

Eve raised her head slowly, giving in to her flustered anxiety. While he may be Sovereign, two characteristics sat out to Eve. He was much taller, no other Sovereign male matched his height and a diamond-shaped item sat in the middle of his head. As if a jewel lay underneath his skin. Eve didn't recognize him. So, she came to the reason that he must have been hatched after she left. Still, she noticed the high quality of his suit and the way he spoke her name sounded familiar.

Pushing down her timid manner, Eve examined further before she took the time to step around him. Taking in every inch of his body. As she did so, Adam did his best to move his head, turning it from side to side over his shoulders as she managed to move from one side to another behind him. Her fingers touched at his biceps, still not accustomed to the thought of personal space. She needed to feel him to make sure he wasn't a false image. And as she stepped back in front of him, her palm touched his chest.

"You're real..." Eve whispered, conflicted by the overwhelming emotions. This man—this stranger, reminded her of Celestia and the others. Eve felt as if she had known him for a long time. Comfort. While the tears began to build, Eve lifted her head to see that his also swelled. But why? Why were they reacting this way? His hand touched the top of her hand that rested on his chest, slipping his fingers around to get a gentle grip.

"I found you," Adam smiled. Eve looks up at him, completely dazed. They were meant to be together. That's what this all connected to, what she grew to believe. And if he had been searching for her, perhaps he thought the same.

"What's your name?" Eve questioned.

"Adam."

Eve knew nothing of the religion where the figures Adam and Eve had come from, but she knew enough. Enough to come to the conclusion that his arrival and destruction weren't accidental. Ayesha and the High Evolutionary sent him here. She couldn't believe it. After all this time.
