NAOMI MIRIAM SAT IN HER ROOM, her parents' words playing over and over again in her mind.

"We're so disappointed in you!" Yeah, she expected that. It wasn't that hurtful, but she knew something that was hurtful. Guy totally rejecting her. After the party, they were both pretty silent, not bothering to recall what had just happened between them. He took her to her house safely, said bye and left. Her parents yelled at her and she got grounded. Yay.

The girl lay on her bed, looking up to the ceiling. Her blanket was thrown on the ground since she felt unusually hot. She also felt kind of trapped. For the first time, she actually wanted to go to school. Staying at home just made her feel like she was in a chokehold.

The drama teacher wrote fast on the paper she was holding, not noticing Naomi walking into the auditorium. Naomi looked around, a smile slowly etching onto her face. There were a ton of people, most of them dressed more on the fancy side. The cold air of the auditorium hit her face as she awkwardly walked forward, scanning her eyes over the crowd of people, trying to find Sophie or the instructor.

"Mimi!" a familiar voice called out. It was Sophie. Naomi let out a sigh of relief before smiling and walking to her friend. Sophie had some knee-high black boots with a colorful scarf on. She held onto Mimi's hand, leading her through the crowd and to the teacher. "Shalom, Miss Ortiz. This is my friend, Naomi Miriam, and she's interested in being juliet for our upcoming play!" Sophie said excitedly. "She's Jewish." she added.

The teacher looked her up and down, smiling. "I think I already found my Juliet, but I could always give everybody a try," she said. Naomi smiled gratefully, shaking Miss Ortiz's hand before sitting with Sophie, suddenly feeling nervous.

Just when she started to feel a bit better, Selena and her crew walked in. "Here come the little bitches." Sophie whispered. "You never told me the little bitches went to drama club." Mimi whispered back, gritting her teeth.

Sophie shrugged apologetically. "Sorry, my bad."

Selena smirked her usual smirk as she walked in, her heels clicking against the floor as she forced her purse onto Shanaya. "Hold it," she ordered, as she put on a fake sweet smile and went to Miss. Ortiz. "Selena! Just the girl I wanted to see." Selena smiled, not expecting what would happen next. "So, a girl just walked in, and she said she would like to be Juliet. I already had my eye on you, and you know that, but you also know I give everyone a chance."

Selena's smile faded away as she heard those words, anger bubbling inside of her. Who was this girl?! A fake smile etched onto her face as she crossed her arms. "That's fine, Miss Ortiz." she lied, "But, may I ask, who is this girl?"

Miss Ortiz smiled obliviously, "Naomi Miriam. She's new here, but you might know her." With that, Selena became even more angry. She shot the teacher a smile before walking away angrily.

"Who does this girl think she is?" she muttered under her breath. "Wanting to be just fucking like me."

Shanaya raised her eyebrow, flinching as Selena harshly grabbed the purse from her. "What's wrong," she asked cautiously. One wrong move was when Selena was mad, and she would be getting a free-nose job.

Selena ignored her and walked up to Sophie and Naomi. "Here she comes," Sophie said, annoyed.

"Who do you think you are, trying to be just fucking like me?" Selena said, low enough that Miss Ortiz wouldn't hear her. "What...?" Mimi asked confused.

"Look, I get that you obviously jealous of me, everybody is, but that doesn't mean you have to fucking weird and try to be exactly like me!" Mimi sat up straighter, crossing her arms.

"Excuse me? Is it so weird that we have the same interest?" Mimi asked, making Selena huff. "I don't care about interest! First, you broke my fashion rules, and now you try to steal the role of Juliet from me! How weirder can you get?!" Naomi rolled her eyes. "I'm not trying to steal anything from you, I just wanna try out being Juliet. And it was my first day, what do you expect?"

Selena got closer to the girl. "This is just the start, Miriam. You don't know how evil I can be," she whispered, smirking as she walked away.
