Chapter 41 - The peering eyes

       Zen came back a few minutes later and I didn't hesitate to tell him all that happened. I also showed him the photo I received. The first thing he did was to inspect our surroundings and copied the phone number through which the photo was sent.

     I was still very scared,not for me but for my children.

" Do you think this would happen again?"  I asked ,I knew that was dumb but I still had to ask.

He sighed as he stared at iris's photo. " This is just a warning. The person that sent you this either wants you to stop investigating or he'll hurt your family."

My voice hitched . " No one knows about this apart from you and I ....even nanny Ellie and Liz doesn't know about what we're doing ".

"Then there's only one  explanation.."   He said as he stared at the driveway. "Mrs Ramon ,you're been watched. "

I stared at him with my mouth agape then instinctively,I looked around. " How am I being watched ..I don't understand".

" This video was taken inside your house am I right ?" He asked.

I swallowed. Does this mean someone was secretly living inside my house ?
     "Umm ..yes ". I replied,this was worse than horror movies.

"Listen to me carefully"  . He said and I nodded hastily.

" I want you to check every inch of your house for cameras,bugs or microphones. ". He started the ignition and drove out of the parking lot .

" There are cameras as small as an ice cube and bugs as small as a peanut . So you need to check properly . "

My hands were sweaty ..I'll have to leave work to Payton for a few days if not weeks to focus on the situation at hand . " How I'm I supposed to find something that small?"

He contemplated for a while and then spoke. " You know what ? ,I'll come with you for the search. And hire a private bodyguard for their safety and please don't tell them ,it's safer that way . "

    I nodded as I fixed my eyes on the road. " So... what are we going to do after that?".

" First .. we'll get rid of any hidden cameras and install new ones ....and then I'll try to track that number that sent you the photo . Next I'll go through the tape and if it's Pamela then we might have proof that she's involved somehow ".

  I took a mental note of what he said and prepared my mind for battle. But before anything else,I have to go see Cisco in jail before his trial.

We remained silent for a while untill Zen spoke up . " By the way,those goons gave me two video disc. Apparently,they missed out a little part of the story. "

I turned to look at him. " Don't tell me you threatened to blow out their nuts ? "

His devious smile gave me an answer.

" They said the 2nd disc was something the lady didn't want anyone to see and they just made a copy just in case she tried to use the sex tape to blackmail them. "

I scoffed. " They aren't so dumb after all ".

" We'll take a look at them after finding the bugs ".

    I nodded in agreement and turned to look through  the window. The sun was still up although it was getting late ,the time was about 3pm or something. I just hoped nanny Ellie and my kids hadn't returned home yet. If possible I didn't want them to be around when Zen and I started our search .
