Chapter 46 - At the penthouse

       I was in a van with a bunch of policemen around me. We were headed for the venue where Freya's will would be read. It was quite early as the sun was only peeking through the thick clouds.

      It had been two days since Stephen came to visit me in jail and today was Monday . Monday's were always slow and boring ,I just hoped today would be different.

        Ever since his visit,i had been worried...not for me but for Sally and our children.
      Stephen told me that Pamela had tried to kill Sally and had threatened to harm our children if she didn't stop investigating. And that bothered me a lot.
     But what was more shocking was the little confession he made . He actually told me everything like a mere story but to me it wasn't.  It turned out that that boy Sally brought home one day whose name was levi or whatever was his son.

Pamela's child to be exact .

It all made sense now,the strange behaviour of Pamela that day . The way she was fidgeting and overreacting.

But what was more painful was that I was suffering in jail for a crime I didn't commit while he had evidence that could get me out.

    I was angry at him for staying quiet,even when he knew that Sally was looking for evidence. He just quietly watched as Pamela killed innocent people and watched as I suffered in prison.

      I told him to inform Sally. He had wanted to keep it to himself but I refused. I told him that if he didn't tell Sally then I would tell her myself.
      
    Stephen was there that day. He was there the day Freya died because levi was also in the hospital. Now I understood why I saw Pamela there ,I was surprised that she was at the hospital although she  never told me why. Levi was in the childs ward with  Stephen. He said that Pamela left the ward while levi was receiving treatment,he was angry that she left levi all alone and at a time when he needed his mother,So he followed her just because he wanted to scold her for being inconsiderate.

          And that was how he saw her entering another room. He was curious to know who she went to see inside the room  because the room was in the VIP ward.
    He  stood outside the door and peeped. He watched and also recorded all that unfolded inside the room . He said that he wasn't himself after watching his supposed wife murder Freya. He also said that he thought Pamela would be caught because there were cameras in the room but surprisingly it was reported that she had died peacefully. He knew something was off so he chose to stay silent till I was convicted .

  He had kept the video with him since then up on till now.
    He also had evidences that Pamela sold drugs while she worked as a stripper,he also said that he would testify as a witness because he saw everything firsthand.We were going to use this to our advantage.
      Finally,we could bring her down,I just hoped nothing ruined our plan.

Maybe by now Sally should be aware of the new evidence. We were going to pretend that all hope was lost so that our plans won't be ruined .

    The van stopped moving ,which indicated that we had reached our destination.
    I came out of the van and took a good look at my surroundings. We here at the penthouse that belonged to Sally's mother .
    I remembered it clearly. I had come here with Sally on our honeymoon and after we had iris .
  
      
   The interior was  beautiful as always. There was a glass wall on one part of the spacious room through which I could see the city below. It was indeed beautiful.

     There was a long and huge table in the middle of the room,it must have been arranged because of today's meeting.
    
   I sat down and waited. It looked like I was the only one here. Well ,apart from the two policemen who kept  following me around. I felt a bit embarrassed in these cuffs ,I wished I could take them off only for today .
