The Best Summer Ever

The 4th of July Disaster

While Conrad cradled a sound-asleep Belly in his arms, he felt her shivering and put his hoodie on her before carrying her back to the house, he laid her down carefully in his bed and pulled the covers over her before climbing in next to her. When Belly awoke the next morning she realised she was in Conrad's bed wearing his hoodie but she couldn't figure out how she got there or got his hoodie on, she looked over to see Conrad still fast asleep beside her, she smiled and pressed her lips gently against his "Happy 4th sleepyhead" she said softly "Happy 4th Bells" Conrad replied still half asleep.

Belly climbed out of bed and ran downstairs "Happy 4th of July everyone" she shouted as she jumped off the bottom step, "Happy 4th Bells" they all replied with smiling faces as they rushed around the kitchen preparing everything for the party. Belly went to her bedroom and got dressed before dragging a still sleepy Conrad downstairs, "Good morning Connie" Susannah said with a smile "Morning mom" Conrad replied with a yawn "Oh and ur dad can't make it" she added "Cool" Conrad replied Jeremiah just stood there sadly.

Everyone continued preparing for their annual 4th of July party, "Oh Belly would u please set up the spare room for ur dad and Victoria?" Laurel asked "Wa- uh- Dad and Victoria r staying here?" Belly asked "Yea please go set up the spare room?" Laurel asked again "Ugh fine" Belly said walking out of the room, Conrad secretly watched as she struggled to make the bed "Let me help" he said walking over to the bed "Thanks why r my dad and his bitchy girlfriend staying here" she asked "What if she's not a bitch" Conrad replied "What if she's a bitch" Belly said, they both laughed.

They were finishing up making the bed when they heard a horn beep "The bitch is here" Conrad said with a smirk, they both stood up and met with Steven and Jeremiah downstairs before all peeking through the front door, a beautiful young lady not much older than Conrad hopped out of the car followed by Steven and Belly's dad , the boys jaws dropped to the floor stunned but they soon picked them up and ran off as the pair walked towards the door, Belly and Steven waited to greet them as they entered the house.

Their dad introduced them to Victoria and the afternoon went as planned, the parents remained up at the house while Belly, Conrad, Jeremiah, Steven, and Shayla spent the afternoon playing drinking games on the beach, until someone walked down to the group, "Dad?" Conrad said "Dad!" Jeremiah said excitedly running over with open arms "Hey boys!" Adam said happily, Conrad wasn't so happy to see him, "What r u doing here?" Conrad asked annoyed by his dads presence "I uh got some time off work i couldn't miss this" he replied "Why?" Conrad asked as he walked away.

"Hey don't be like this mom is the one who doesn't want him around what's ur problem?" Jeremiah said chasing after Conrad "Did mom ever tell u why she doesn't want him around Jere?" Conrad replied "She told me it was his decision" Jeremiah said he was beginning to think Susannah lied "Mom threw dad out because he fucked his secretary Jere he cheated on mom" Conrad said and Jeremiah's face flipped "What? Dad i- is this true?" He asked holding back tears "Jere i-" He muttered but Jeremiah interrupted "Don't dad just don't" and he walked away.

"Connie why did u tell him?" Adam asked "Because he deserves to know the truth dad he's my brother and I'm not lying to him anymore" Conrad replied but Adam's face went cold "How did u know? did ur mom tell u?" He asked angrily "No dad i heard u and mom arguing about it while Jere was at school" Conrad said angrily "U really expect me to believe that?" Adam replied grabbing Conrad's shirt "I DON'T CARE WHAT U BELIEVE" Conrad shouted pulling from his dads grasp but Adam just grabbed his arm again "Just fuck off dad!" Conrad said pulling his arm back and walking away.

Belly saw what happened and walked up to Adam "What the hell is wrong with u?" She asked angrily "It's none of ur business Belly" he replied "Conrad IS my business" she exclaimed "Why because he "loves" u Belly do u know how many girls he has said that to?" He said grabbing her shoulders "Do u because I'll tell u, one, me!" She said but deep down she was absolutely terrified of Adam "Let her go now!" Steven said angrily walking over "And if i don't?" Adam replied with a smirk "If u don't i will hurt u" Steven said and Adam laughed unintentionally easing his grip enough for Belly to escape.

"Get back here u little brat" Adam shouted walking towards her "Belly run!" Steven shouted jumping in front of Adam "Shayla go to the house now" Steven said and she ran, once both girls were out of site Steven pushed Adam to the ground and ran towards the house, but Adam quickly followed and grabbed Steven "Get off me u asshole" Steven said trying to free himself, "Why so u can run and tell ur mum and Susannah what a bad guy i am i don't think so" he said gripping Steven tighter, "Fine" Steven said kicking him in the balls, dropping to the ground Adam let go, Steven ran.

Up at the house Belly was hiding under her bed, Conrad ran outside to Steven "Where's Belly?" he asked "She ran up here" Steven replied and Conrad immediately ran to her room but he couldn't see her anywhere, he was about to call out to her when he heard whimpering from under the bed "Belly?" He questioned peeking under the bed, he sighed in relief when he saw Belly's face "Come here" he said holding his arms out, she crawled hesitantly out from under her bed and into Conrad's arms, "Conrad" she said sobbing "I'm so sorry" "Shh it's ok i'm here I've got u ur safe" he said softly.
