The Best Summer Ever

Bad News

It was the day of the Deb Ball and Belly couldn't be more excited, she ran downstairs for breakfast with the biggest smile on her face "Good Morning Bells" Conrad said smiling "Good Morning Connie" Belly replied happily, she kissed him and then sat down for breakfast before getting ready for the ball, she grabbed her dress, hair and makeup bag, and shoes and headed downstairs "Mom are you driving me?" she asked "I thought you could drive yourself" Laurel replied "Omg mom I love you so much" she replied taking the keys "See you later cuteness" Conrad said with a smile "Bye handsome" she replied kissing him before walking out to the car, she put her things in before hopping in starting the car and heading for the cousins country club.

At the club, the girls were all chatting and doing each other's hair all of them except Belly and Shayla, Nicole had turned all the girls against Belly, all of them except Shayla who chose Belly over Nicole and her craziness, Shayla and Belly got ready together and were about to walk to the side of the stage when someone snuck in behind them "Conrad!" Belly said as she turned around "What are you doing back here?" she asked jumping into his arms and planting a big kiss on his lips knowing Nicole was watching, "I will see you on the dance floor" he said putting her back on the ground, she smiled as she walked towards the stage glaring at Nicole on her way, the girls got called one by one on to the dance floor and Belly couldn't stop smiling.

As Belly and Conrad walked out onto the dancefloor Belly looked at Susannah, she was so grateful Susannah made her debutante dream come true, she couldn't be happier as she watched the boy she's loved since she was ten do the escort dance alongside her brother, she was so proud of them both, after the escort dance it was time for all the girls to dance with their arm candy, as Belly waited for the dance to begin she looked around at her table she saw her parents and Susannah but no Jeremiah "Hey where's Jere?" she asked Conrad "No idea" he replied as the dance started, Susannah noticed Jere was missing but didn't think much of it, as the dance carried on Jere returned and it was obvious he'd been crying about something.

He sat down and remained quiet for the remainder of the dance before approaching his brother "Conrad we need to talk" he said holding back tears "Jere we can talk about this later" he replied "No it's important it's Mom" Jere said "I know Jere I know" Conrad replied "You knew this whole fucking time why didn't you tell me?" he shouted at Conrad "I was trying to protect you Jere" Conrad shouted back but Jere didn't care he let his anger get the best of him and he punched his brother in the face in front of everyone and soon the two brothers were fighting on the ground Susannah noticed and walked over "What the hell is with you two? she asked suspecting they knew "We know mom we both know" Conrad replied pushing Jere off him.

Belly was more confused than she had ever been "Know what? What is going on?" she asked looking around at everyone's saddened faces in confusion the boys didn't have the heart to tell her "Belly let's talk" Laurel said placing her hand on Belly's shoulder "Ok" she said still confused as they walked out of the ballroom Steven close behind, back at the house Belly, Steven, and Laurel were talking in Belly's room "Ok kids this is hard to tell you but Susannah is very sick" Laurel said holding back tears "She's not going to get better is she?" Steven asked "No honey she's not she has cancer" "Oh my god I made this whole summer about me and Susannah was sick and I had no idea," Belly said sobbing along with her mom and brother.

Susannah and the boys were downstairs talking "Look boys I didn't tell you because I wanted one last perfect summer I'm so sorry" she said tears brimming in her eyes "Mom you have to do the trial" Jere said "Please Mom for us" Conrad pleaded "Ok I'll do it for my baby boys" she replied smiling, she pulled the boys close and held them tight, the boys sobbed as they snuggled up to their mom "Can we have a movie night tonight mom?" Jere asked "I have a better idea let's throw a party," Susannah said smiling "Yes I love it Mom" Conrad replied excited "OK I will get Laurel on board and get the alcohol you boys get snacks and other drinks Belly and Steven get party supplies and decorations," Susannah said smiling "Got it" both boys replied.

Conrad Jeremiah Belly Steven Laurel and Susannah organised the party and tons of people showed up including Taylor, the party was incredible at least until Taylor and Steven got in a fight and Steven disappeared, "He will come back" Belly said hugging Taylor "TAYLOR" someone shouted from behind "MILO" she shouted turning around "What are you doing here?" she asked "I'm here for you I want you back" he replied "Milo I can't I'm with someone else" she replied "But we are perfect" Milo said "If we're perfect then what's my middle name?" she asked "Uh Louise?" he asked "It's Maddison her middle name is Maddison" Steven said walking up behind Taylor "You remembered my middle name" she said hugging him tightly "Of course" he said.
