Belly laid on the sun lounge with her eyes closed until she felt water dripping on her face, she looked up to see Conrad and his wet hair peering at her, he pressed a kiss to her lips and she smiled and turned to see Susannah sharing her smile before closing her eyes again, when she opened them again she realised she wasn't in cousins she was in school and Susannah was dead,  she had dozed off at school and was reliving her favourite memories which had now turned into painful memories, she made it through the rest of the day and was zoning out as Taylor rambled on about volleyball camp but was brought back to reality when Steven came down the hall screaming about graduation before stopping and putting his arm around Taylor.

Belly had a rough few weeks after hearing about Susannah's passing but she was looking forward to Steven's grad party after graduation the next day, she wished Jeremiah could be there but they hadn't spoken since the funeral, the two were fighting about something and Belly walked out and that was the last time she had spoken to Jeremiah, at Steven's graduation Belly sat staring at the 2 empty chairs beside Conrad where Jeremiah and Susannah were supposed to be, she felt guilty but tried to focus on Steven instead, his speech was amazing and everyone loved it so much that he went viral on Tiktok, while at lunch with his parents and sister Steven was glued to his phone, "Steven phone now" Laurel said sternly.

after lunch Belly and Steven went home to get ready for the party with Taylor while Laurel and John stayed at the restaurant talking about Laurel's new book, she had written about Susannah after she died as a final tribute, it was time for the party and Belly was the dd, at the party Belly decided she wanted to go to volleyball camp and told Taylor before the band started playing, during the performance Steven decided to crowd surf but it only ended with him kicking Belly in the face "STEVEN" she shouted before storming out in tears, she got in the car and was on her way home her eyes so filled with tears she couldn't see the car coming from the left until it was too late, she blacked out and when she awoke she was in the hospital surrounded by her family.

Belly looked around to see Conrad, Taylor, her parents and Steven but there was one other person hidden behind Steven "Jeremiah?" Belly said softly in slight disbelief "Hey Bells" he replied coming out from behind Steven "What are you doing here?" she asked "You were hurt I had to come" he replied "How did you know I was hurt?" she asked "Uh that was me I called Jere to tell him what happened" Conrad admitted "Thankyou you Con" she said "I'm glad your here Jere" she added reaching for his hand "Me too Bells" he replied moving his hand close enough for her to grab it "Belly I'm so sorry about our fight it was stupid" Jere said softly holding back tears "I'm sorry too Jere" she replied pulling him in for a long overdue hug, Jere began to cry.

The group talked for hours until Belly began to get tired, the group left Belly alone to sleep and headed home for the night, Belly's eyes fluttered open and she saw a figure in the corner of her room "Conrad? Is that you?" she said softly "Try again" the figure replied revealing himself "Get away from me" Belly shouted "What if I don't? there is no-one here to save you now" the figure said chuckling, Belly froze in fear knowing there was no escape, she began to sob as she felt a hand cover her mouth, Belly wanted to scream but she couldn't she just sat there trembling, soon enough Belly heard the door open and a phone flash shine in her eyes "ADAM" Steven shouted realising what was going on "Let her go now" Steven demanded filled with anger.

Steven carefully walked towards Belly's bed hitting the call button without Adam realising, soon the room swarmed with nurses who managed to hold Adam back long enough for Steven to get Belly out, the nurses agreed the safest place for Belly was at home with her family, she was discharged and Steven took her home only for her to see everyone passed out in the living room "Where's Conrad?" she asked "I- uh- I'm not sure" Steven replied and Belly went looking for him, she found him sitting on her bed and went to walk over to him but before she could she was hit with the flashbacks of the 4th of July party, Belly shrieked at the flashbacks dropping to the floor trembling "BELLY?" Conrad said rushing to her side "What's wrong Bells?" he asked holding her.

"Adam he- he was- he was in my hospital room and the flashbacks from-" "The 4th of July party" Conrad finished "It's ok Bells I'm here I'm right here ok" he whispered softly placing a kiss on her head, he scooped her up and put her in her bed "I'll stay with you until you fall asleep ok I promise," he said softly holding her as her eyelids grew heavier until she couldn't keep her eyes open anymore, "I love you Bells" he whispered as she drifted off to sleep, once she was asleep Conrad went to find Steven "Steven she's asleep" he said finding Steven in the kitchen "Ok good" he replied "Did you know my dad was in her hospital room?" he questioned Steven.

"Yea he was in there when I arrived holding Belly" Steven replied "Did he hurt her?" Conrad asked worried "No I secretly pressed the call button and nurses stormed in and held him back while I got Belly out of the room" Steven replied "The nurses agreed the best place for her to recover was here with us so I discharged her and brought her home" Steven added "I'm glad he didn't hurt her I don't know what I would have done if he did" Conrad replied "I know Con I'm glad she's ok too" Steven replied "I swear I'm gonna ki-" Conrad started but was interrupted by Belly screaming he ran upstairs followed by Steven to find Belly sitting up crying "Bells what's wrong?" Conrad asked worried "I had a nightmare," she said quietly still crying and terrified.
