The Beach House

The next morning Belly awoke to find Conrad missing from beside her, she rushed downstairs but he wasn't there "Hey uh where's Conrad?" she asked Jeremiah "No idea he was gone when I woke up" Jere replied so Belly tried calling him but she got no answer, now she was worried, where was he? And why wasn't he answering? The rest of the group waited patiently to hear from Conrad, hours went by before he called saying he was ok and on his way back, the group eagerly awaited his return but when he finally walked through the door everyone knew something was wrong, "What's wrong Conrad?" Jeremiah asked worried "It's Mom's house Jere it's been put up for sale" he replied choking back tears

 "What?" Belly Jeremiah and Steven all said at the same time "What are we going to do?" Belly asked "I don't know I tried calling Julia but she didn't pick up" Conrad replied, "Wait Aunt Julia?" Jere asked "Yeah" Conrad replied "We will figure it out I promise," Belly said to Conrad, over the next few days they exhausted every possible option to save the house and nothing worked until Belly came up with an idea "Why don't we go talk to Julia?" she asked Conrad "I guess it can't hurt everything else failed" he replied and with that, they got ready and headed for Julia's, they arrived at Julia's and knocked on the door "I wondered how long it would take you to come by," she said coldly "You can't sell Mom's house," Conrad said

"Mom!" someone shouted from behind "Skye?" Conrad shouted back "Conrad?" Skye replied walking to the door "Mom what are they doing here?" Skye asked "Your Mom is trying to sell our beach house," Conrad said "Susannah's beach house" Belly added "What! Mom, you can't do that" Skye shouted angrily "Why not?" Julia asked "Because it's Susannah's house and she's dead it's all they have left of her Mom," Skye said "It doesn't matter it's out of my hands Skye I just have to make sure the house is ready," Julia said and Conrad stormed off with Belly close behind, they headed back to the beach house and told Jeremiah and Steven about their talk with Julia, the group was still determined to save the beach house but how?

A few hours passed and there was a knock on the door, Belly opened the door "Skye?" she said "Hey uh I know I shouldn't be here but my mom is crazy for trying to sell the house and I want to help you save it I can keep trying to talk her down while the rest of you think of a plan to sabotage the sale" Skye said hoping to help "Ok come in" Belly said smiling and she lead Skye to the living room where the boys were sitting "Skye?" Jeremiah said "I'm here to help," Skye said, "Help with what?" Conrad asked "To help you save your mom's house" Skye replied "And how are we going to do that?" Conrad asked in disbelief "I'll keep talking my mom down while you guys come up with a plan to sabotage the sale" Skye replied.

"How can we sabotage the sale?" Jeremiah asked "I'll try to figure out what needs to be perfect for the open house in a few days and I'll report back to you when I do you guys go around and sabotage everything I tell you to" Skye said "If we sabotage everything that needs to be perfect then Julia will have to postpone the open house giving us more time to get the money to buy it" Conrad said happily "Exactly" Skye replied "Skye you're a genius" Steven said "Well I don't like to brag but yea I am" Skye said with a chuckle "Wait won't your mom know you're helping us?" Belly asked "No she thinks I'm getting groceries right now" Skye replied. 

"I probably should get back I'll check in tomorrow and let you know what I found out," Skye said heading for the door, "Bye Skye," everyone said together, Skye went home with some groceries to keep up the scheme and began talking with Julia gathering as much information as possible but was interrupted by a message from Jeremiah "Who's that Honey?" Julia asked "It's Jeremiah he wants to know if I want to go to the boardwalk with them tomorrow" Skye replied "That sounds like a wonderful idea you kids can have fun while I make sure the house is ready," Julia said happily "Uh yeah I'll let Jere know," Skye said texting Jeremiah back and putting the phone down to continue talking to Julia getting more information for the rest of the group.

Skye arrived at the beach house early the next morning and the group headed off to the boardwalk talking about the competitions they had as kids "Can we have a competition?" Skye asked "Hell yeah we can" Conrad replied, "Me Steven and Jere versus You Belly and Taylor" He added "Awesome," Skye said excitedly, the group arrived at the boardwalk and started the competition in the arcade, the first game was Laser Tag the boys won which brought the group to the next game Capture The Flag the boys won again but the girls and Skye weren't giving up the next game was Shoot Your Shot Belly beat Conrad scoring a point for her team she picked Step To This as the next game Skye won against Jeremiah evening out the scores for both teams.

The final game was Go Karting won by the boys making them victorious, Belly Taylor and Skye paid for the boys' candy bags before it was time for Belly to ride the Tower Of Terror, Belly was scared so Conrad went on the Tower Of Terror with her, the ride reached its highest point and Belly was trembling Conrad noticed and grabbed her hand holding it tight until the end of the ride, the group headed back to the beach house their faces smiling until they opened the door to see the whole house empty every bedroom and every bathroom empty, all the furniture was gone and the group knew they had to think of something fast but what?
