5. Surprise Gift

You opened your eyes slowly, realising it's not your home. You roamed your eyes everywhere which made you realise that you were in hospital, lying down on a patient's bed. Then, you got to remember everything. How was yesterday's conversation with your mom, how you admitted her in hospital and got to know your father's behaviour. It was quite unbelievable. You could never believe that your father would back away when you and mom needed him the most. You were about to wake up from the bed, but then the nurse came with jimin. "Don't, just lay down there" Jimin said.
"But, how did you get to know about this?" Jimin pointed at the nurse.
"It's me, ms. Lee who informed me. Park. I found you lying unconscious on the floor. With the help of your phone, I made a call to him and that's how it's all happening. Btw, how are you feeling now?" The nurse asked. "I'm pretty good now. But mom, yes, what about her? How's she?" You asked with concern.
"I think the result will come within two or three hours. Hang in there till then." With it the nurse left leaving you and jimin alone.
" Did you meet mom?" Jimin nodded. "How's she?" You questioned looking at another. " Oh come on yn. You shouldn't be angry anymore with her. She is your mom. Forgive her and she woke up and doing good." You huffed. Then suddenly a thought came to your mind. "Bring me my phone" he nodded and gave it to you.
You dialed the last number which you dialed last night to clarify all your doubts. "Whom are you calling now?"
"It's dad" "didn't he know about it all?"
You nodded as no making him frown his brows.

You looked at your phone.
"Am I dreaming right now?" "Call your dad from my phone" he gave his phone.
You dialed and all you heard
~the number you're calling doesn't exist. Please check your dialed number.
Wait whatt? This is not expected at all.
Without saying anything you silently gave his phone back and jimin also didn't talk about the matter.
Timeskips
You were discharged so as your mom. But her reports haven't come yet. Soon it came and it blew your mind away.
It was written in the paper.
~ Mrs. Lee Seo-hoon had symptoms which showed that she's suffering from BREAST CANCER of stage 3. The chances of survival were really less as her body was totally infected by 65%. It's better to keep her happy in her last 90 days. "Jimin!" He was sitting on a bench and hurriedly ran to you. "What is it?" You just gave the reports to him to read with broken eyes.
After reading he couldn't believe anything. He just looked at you and found you miserable.
"Yn-" "I'm fine, jimin. I'm fine. Let's go and let my mom get discharged" you wipped your tears and put a bright smile and walked to your mom's cabin. When you both entered her cabin you found her sitting in a wheel chair. She put her heads lowered to the handles. She already looked so pale. You gathered all your strength and went towards her.
"You, Mrs.. Lee. Why are you looking so pale?hm? Where's your lipstick and foundation? Hm?" Your eyes were so heavy but you didn't let your tears come out. You held it back anyhow.
"Yn. I'm sorry, Baby. Please forgive me." She said holding my hands.
"Why? I'm still angry cause you're looking so bad. My mom never looked like you. Just a small disease made you that weak!! No!!"
"Hehe, I'll dress up into a good one. But what disease has gotten into me?" "Nah nah not a big one. A very small virus. But you are all fine now." You kissed her pale cheeks and she smiled as bright as she could.
You and jimin came to your home safely with your mom.
Kneeling down in front of her, jimin looked into your mom's eyes and spoke further.
" Aunty, don't worry. You are completely fine as you said. You are so beautiful that my words aren't enough. Okay? I'll visit you very often. Eat healthy and take meds too. " "Thank you son for today." Jimin smiled.
"Yn, baby, take me to the room. I wanna rest." You nodded. "Yn, I'll get going now." "Thank you jimin, ik thank you will not do enough. It was more than expected. I'll remember it till my last breath." Jimin hugged you. "you go and help aunty now" you nodded and safely took your mom inside of her room. Jimin was going by then. He opened the door and found a couple standing right in front of yn's house. "Who are you?" Jimin asked. "Um, hii. I'm Choi Jung-woo and my wife is Choi Jen-su." Jimin nodded. "Actually we came here to look at our new home" jimin frowned. "What? You must be mistaken." "No, it's the same as it's" "let me see"
There was a paper showing the same location as it is. "But she didn't sell her house as far as I know" jimin said. "Who are you?" "I'm the friend of the girl of this house." "Who is there jimin?" You asked out from the downstairs as you already laid her in her bed.
"Hello" "hi, dear" "can you introduce? I don't seem to know you." "I see. Maybe Mr. Lee hasn't let you know about it." "Mr. Lee? Let me know about what? Please explain what was going on?" "Showing the papers the couple spoke. "Your father, Mr. Dong sun has sold this mansion to us. And here is a contract which he and his spouse's signatures" He showed.
"Wait, my mom's signature? She would never do that?" You said being completely confused.
"Your mom, means, Mrs. Adeline Ralph Flannery?"
"It's Lee Seo-hoon. Wait, Adeline Ralph? Isn't it his secretary's name? Do you have any pictures of her?"
"Yes I do, we took it after singing it." He showed the picture which made you fall directly on the floor making everyone surprised.
"Yn, yn please gather yourself. It's a really hard time. I just don't know how to comfort you. But please put yourself all together. You also have to look after your mom." Jimin was trying his best to comfort you but you were broken. There was numbness in your body. Your lips were shuttering to even speak. To the person you loved the most HAS BEEN CHEATING ON YOU AND YOUR MOM WITH HIS VERY OWN SECRETARY!! Doesn't it sound like an ongoing movie? You're being part of a movie , isn't it? But it would be good if it's a movie. But it's your real live where you were in a messed up situation.
"Hey, guys, what's happening? I want to shift here soon" as soon he completed Jimin hurriedly grabbed him by his collar. "Does she look like a joke to you? Huhh? Are you even a human? Can't you just see how miserable she is? Her dad cheated--" "jimin, let them do whatever. They bought this house now. And Mr. Choi, just give me 3 days to move our necessary to another. Actually dad didn't say that he had already bought a new mansion for us. Haha. He must be waiting to surprise us" he nodded but he wasn't that dumb to understand that your own father had kicked you off along with your mother. "Okay then. We'll shift after 3 days. Let's go honey." Saying he left with his wife.
You were standing straight like a statue. There was no movement, no expression. Only tears kept falling. Jimin came and hugged you. You hugged him back and let your pain come out. Something happened again. As the main door was opened, Taehyung was walking by with his pet dog, yeontan. There he saw from your house, you and jimin hugging each other. That left no other option for him to choose what was the ACTUAL RELATIONSHIP between you and jimin and what was the REAL REASON for rejecting him. Yn broke the hug without any further questions and went direct to her room without noticing Taehyung's presence. When jimin turned his head to look at the door finding Taehyung standing there already. But before jimin could stop him, Taehyung sped up his pace and left from there creating another misunderstanding.
Well, say, you were so lucky. Very lucky. Like maybe no other girl could get these much special gifts without any occasion. You must be a Lucky girl. And your surprise gift was more than you expected. Gifts usually bring a smile or happiness in our face. But it brought an emotionless face with numbness, maybe that's why it's her SURPRISE GIFT !!!
