Carlos was standing in the kitchen with an apron tied around his neck and had cooked paella, well he seems to feel comfortable here. I wondered how many times he had cooked here. Humming he just tasted 1-2 things and I tilted my head "Carlos, that looks mega" he looked up and smiled at me. "I hope so too, paella is my favorite food" Lando joined us "I hope you also did something without fish" He wrinkled his nose "And used other bowls" Carlos waved it off "I know you, don't I know you, Ellie, you want fish, though?" I nodded "I don't have a problem with fish" He nodded contentedly "Well, at least one in your family who is normal" Lando grimaced and turned around "I'm just showering"
"And how far did you get by car?" I grabbed a soda and sat down at the counter. "Mostly done with my share. But Lando still has to get involved, we can't go on until then" I sighed "He still gambles a lot, doesn't he?" Carlos nodded grinning "Sure, but hey I'm getting better too" I snorted "You play Carlos?" He looked at me offended, "Sometimes why?" "Well, because... You don't come across as a gambler" He shrugged his shoulders and pointed to the food "yes, but here take that and put it on the table" No sooner said than done and Lando rejoined us "Well, you? I guess that's for me" He pointed to the one without fish and we nodded to him "Very good, I've got full of cabbage steam"
Together we ate the paellas and Carlos had outdone himself, they were really unbelievably delicious, even if Lando said he would taste fish from them and that Carlos had lied to him. He had eaten it anyway. After dinner, I went upstairs to take a shower and put on shorts and a t-shirt. Next, I took my boxes and started to put away a few things, but at the same time I also packed my bag, because tomorrow I was going to Brazil. Oh man, I don't feel comfortable with it, but what else would I have to do? And finally, I loved Formula 1, at least as much as Lando.
There was a knock on the door when I was almost done, "Yes?" Lando poked his head through the door. We wanted to gamble now, will you come down?" I looked around and nodded, "What do you have planned?" "The idea was Mariokart" I grinned, no matter how good my brother was at Formula 1, we both knew that I was invincible in Mariokart. "Do you want to lose?" "Not Ellie this time, I've been practicing" Defiantly we stared at each other "We'll see"
With these words we went downstairs. "Don't you still have to work" Looking towards the garage, I looked at him reproachfully, he shrugged his shoulders "While you were playing Mary Poppins, of course I did my should, and you know what? It's almost done" I looked at him in surprise. "Not bad, but the question I ask myself is, what happens to it?" Carlos came to us with the Switch he had just started to set up and plug in. "We're going to ride it, of course" I stared at Carlos in disbelief and then at Lando, "Really?" Grinning, the boys looked at me, "Of course" Lando looked at me, sure of victory, "And we're going to run a time race to see who's fastest with their own car." I looked surprised at Lando "Oh man then I hope you did everything right" Carlos sat down with us on the couch with the controllers in his hand. "Of course, our mechanics will look over it beforehand, not that someone swaps 2 cables" He looked reproachfully at Lando, who stretches his hands in the air defensively, "That was only once!" "Once is enough," Carlos grumbled, amused.
We had a lovely evening and as expected I had driven you guys into the ground. Carlos was very surprised and Lando was depressed. Around 1 o'clock we decided to go to sleep, because we started tomorrow to Brazil. I was curious to see how it would turn out and hoped that everything would work out as I had hoped.
Being a late riser has always had more disadvantages than advantages in my opinion. That's exactly what I felt again today. I looked at my phone, which showed me a time of 3:16 p.m. "Shit" I jumped up and ran downstairs. I had to eat something quickly, in a quarter of an hour we will be picked up to the airport. "Ellie, are you awake too?" Carlo joked, I just looked at him hurriedly. "Why didn't anyone wake me up?" I quickly found some toast and threw it into the toaster, took milk and poured it into a cup "I wanted to, only Lando said I wouldn't survive this" I quickly grabbed cold cuts from the fridge and prepared everything "Only if you wake me up with a whistle, like Lando, for example" "Or a bucket of water" Amused, Lando came with a couple of bags, which he was just putting down. I was glad that I had already packed my last night "Or something" I took my toast and topped it "But still they could have woken me up" I took a bite and drank my milk "I knew that you had already packed your bag, in 5 minutes at the latest I would have woken you up" Grinned Lando "But I still recommend you to change your clothes" I looked down at myself and stuck my tongue out at Lando " Am I embarrassing you?" I didn't know what he had against my Disney sleeping outfit, "Never" he grinned.
I gulped down the last piece of toast and ran upstairs. I quickly put on a light sweater and changed the shorts to a pair of short jeans. I opened the door and Carlos was standing in front of the door "Our driver is here, give me your bags" I smiled gratefully at Carlos "Thank you" I quickly disappeared into the bathroom to freshen up and make a braid, I let out 2 strands and looked briefly in the mirror. Yes, that's how it went.
I took my purse and quickly went downstairs, Lando was standing at the door and waiting for me "Come on" I poked him in the side as he passed by and just grinned at him. Carlos was already sitting in the car "Now we have to hurry" Said our driver and had his eyes on me for a moment. Immediately, everything contracted and I made myself small. Lando closed the van door and we drove off.
When we arrived at the airport, we took the special entrance for private jets and luckily not many fans became aware of the two celebrities next to me. Together we went to the Great Square, where the private jet was already waiting, which was a bit bigger than the one I had arrived with. In the interior of the plane we were already expected, I who was walking behind the guys arrived last and the door was closed "Zak? What are you doing here?" I looked confused at the voices until I got into the large area with the seating possibilities. "I thought I'd pick you both up" Zac Brown was in a chair. I froze in my movement. I thought we were alone here? I thought this was going to be an incognito weekend on my part. "But that's a surprise..." Lando looked at me cautiously and took my things from me after the men greeted each other. Now Zac looked at me, "And who are you?" I realized that I had just stared at him, I blinked briefly and remembered the good manners. I held out my hand to him, which he pressed in a friendly way "My name is Elisabeth, I'm happy to meet her" He looked at me and then at Lando and Carlos "For my part, which of the two do you belong to, if I may ask? Basically, I don't mind if you accompany me, but..." You could tell that he didn't want to seem rude, but at the same time he looked sternly at the boys. Lando sat down across from Zac and sighed, "She's my sister." Carlos sat down at a seat on the other side of the window, knowing what was coming next, and switched off.
Stop. I wasn't that far. Why did it all have to happen so quickly? I looked a little panicked at Lando, who only smiles at me calmly. "Your sister? I didn't know you had one," Confused he looked at me, I just smiled shyly and decided to sit down as well, as close to Lando as possible. "Nobody but a few know you, but that will slowly change now" encouragingly he smiles at me, I tried to reply "Then tell me something about yourself Elisabeth" He was friendly, which gave me the strength to take courage:
"I used to go to a boarding school and then to a university in Denmark to complete my studies as a social media and PR manager. For the last six months I've been working for a local agency and now that I'm done, Lando has decided that I'll accompany him for the rest of the year." I hadn't even noticed that the plane had already taken off into the air. He nodded, visibly interested, "And you're interested in Formula 1 or just a family outing?" "As well as I love Formula 1, like Lando, I have been fascinated by the fast cars since I was little, but for my future I was interested in the external view of the drivers towards the fans." I saw Lando grinning out of the corner of my eye. Did I say something wrong? "So it's a coincidence that our manager will soon stop with us and a place will become available, isn't it?" I looked at Carlos, who was also looking at me with a knowing look. What's this supposed to be? Zac nodded "Of course they would have to prove their qualities first, but from next year you could look further" Slowly something rattled there, the whole thing here was a trap.
It was no coincidence that Zac was on that plane. "You misunderstand me" Zac waved it off "No, I don't" I swallowed "No really, Lando just wanted < accompany him to the race and not this..." I looked at Lando who looked at me apologetically "I'm sorry Ellie, I told him about everything so you can do what you want" My eyes stared into the void. If he told him about everything, that would be impossible, otherwise Zac would never want to hire me. "Elizabeth, you shouldn't worry. They mastered their grades as well as their job at the agency, I offer them an internship with us, as Lando's manager" I didn't know what to say "I know about their... obstacles to society. I can tell them that we will slowly get them to where they belong. Just think about it until the end of our stay in Brazil." He looked over at me kindly and sipped his coffee that he had brought to him and I stared at my fingers, only able to nod.
