After this unexpected meeting with Charles and Pierre, I went on to my real destination: the market.
I strolled over it in peace and saw many curious things; such as the fanciest fruits in any colors also clothes or daily user items. There was a calm in me that I had missed since my decision to move in with my brother. Maybe simply because I still feel most comfortable alone. I love my brother and I am grateful to him for making all this possible for me. However... Is it right for me? I was afraid that one morning my parents would show up at my door and they would tear me away from my brother and take me somewhere where I would never have anything to do with Formula 1.
After buying 2 fruits, I continued to stroll around the area. Along the promenade, with a view of the sea. Without further ado I decided to sit down on the beach and listen to the sea. The background noise became quieter and quieter as the evening slowly dawned. From the side I saw the sun slowly disappearing behind the mountains. I took a deep breath in and out, stretched my neck and closed my eyes.
Until, all of a sudden, my phone vibrated in my pocket, I opened my eyes, took it out, and saw Lando's name. "Yes, Lando?" "Hey, where are you hanging out right now?" I looked around "I'm somewhere on the beach, is everything ok?" "Yes, of course. We just wanted to order food together in Carlo's room until you arrived?" I thought, I wouldn't do much else anyway. "Yes, of course, shall we meet around 7:00 p.m.?" I heard him pass the question on to Carlos and after a short silence it came ok. "And you'll make it back safely?" Yes laughed slightly, We both knew that I lose my bearings really quickly and had already lost my way many times "Yes Lando, I can do it, I'll come over right away" With that I hung up the phone and looked around briefly.
The hotel, what was it called again?
Luckily, Lando gave me his location and I let myself be navigated with my cell phone. In front of the hotel I breathed a sigh of relief, good that I still had enough battery, that would have been typical for me. As I was about to enter, a bunch of girls were standing near the entrance. Had my brother and Carlos just arrived? Cautiously, I tried to move past them until one of them spoke to me: "Hey you! Be careful, if the security sees that you are standing too close to the entrance, you will be sent away!" Confused, I looked at her, "Ehm. OK? But I have to get into it" Another saw me as well and joined her friend "yes we would like to go in there too, but only guests are allowed in there" I was confused. "Are you waiting for Lando and Carlos, or what?" They shook their heads, "They're already inside, we're waiting-" A loud rattle of a sports car interrupted the girls and they looked towards the entrance. That's when I was able to pull away from them and head for the entrance, where I was stopped, "Miss, are you a guest here?" Under a stern gaze, I was watched by the porter. Frowning, I looked at him and nodded. "yes I checked in this morning." Unimpressed, he looked at me.
Girls started shouting a name "Charles hi, can I take a picture?" And more similar shouts. I flinched. I actually wanted to avoid something like that. Above all, the drivers should not associate me with Lando. At least not now and not as his sister.
I quickly pulled out my room card and showed him the doorman. "Is this enough as an admission ticket?" He took it from me briefly, looked at me, then the card. A quick glance over his shoulder was enough to see that Charles took some time for his fans and took pictures with them. When the doorman gave me my card back, I quickly ran inside. I only hear a "Hey the girl" from one of the fans who saw me, but after the door closed, the sounds from outside were cut off and I took a deep breath.
I'm so glad I never had to be in the spotlight like that. I would be reluctant to put myself through all the stress that comes with it. When the front door opened again, I was just going into the elevator and turned around when I noticed that a pair of eyes was lying on top of me. Charles looked at me from a distance, confused.
