Evannah's POV

I smiled softly at Cameron as he grinned back at me.

I took in the crowded cafe and tuned in slightly to the conversations of two waiter boys around my age who were whispering nearby.

"that girl is wasting her time on that stupid piece of trash" waiter#1 said.

"so true bro, she should be dating me instead. I make a better match with her!" waiter#2 replied.

"hey! I look better with her. Not you!" waiter#1 countered.

I just chuckled at their bickering as I swirled around the rest of my chocolate milkshake in my glass.

"Babes, you should finish your drink. Then we can go to the amusement park!" Cameron exclaimed.

Well, too bad I had other plans. I delicately picked up my glass and tipped its contents over Cameron's head. He stared at me, bewildered as my milkshake dripped off his beautiful brown curls. I smirked at him as I stood up, tching at him.

"Oh! I'm so sorry Cammy! my hand slipped!" I said, appearing not sorry. Now the whole cafe was watching the drama.

He still stared at me as I continued "But I guess your hand slipped too when you were busy ripping off Jessica's underwear.."

A collective gasp was heard from the customers and waiters alike when I said that. Cameron looked ashamed as I was just enjoying the show.

"But babe! I dont even know who's Jessica!" he yelped.

At this, my smirk slowly turned into a scowl.

"Don't make me show the proof of your little adventures in public Cameron" I said through gritted teeth as I flipped some bills onto the table--money for my milkshake and a tip for the waiter.

then I stood up elegantly and turned around towards the exit.

"Oh and... one more thing, I hope I never see you again. bastard." I smiled one last time at Cameron as I walked out with my head held high.

My high heels clicked the pavement as I pulled out my phone to call an Uber back home.

It started to drizzle as I waited. But the sky was clear a second ago! I glared at the clouds over my head as I ran to a nearby bookshop to cover from the rain, only to trip and almost break my ankle as I entered. luckily, I caught myself before I fell. I ungraciously made my way over to a nearby table as plopped down on one of the cushioned chairs. I straightened my light blue dress a little bit as I looked around the book shop.

Its always like this. I had the worst bad luck in the history of people having bad luck...

I had bad luck typically everywhere... especially in dating.. why you ask? well I couldn't date even one single boy for more than two weeks! either this or that, we will break up within the end of two weeks! I am actually known as the 'murderer girlfriend' because whoever who dated me didn't live after they break up with me or if I am happy with them. yeah, strange I know.. but I was used to this now. it was almost like fate was against me being happy with a boy.

I still remember my first boyfriend Hugo in 8th grade. He had asked me out on whim by calling me a fairy. Now, I WAS beautiful enough to be called a fairy so I accepted his request. Then a week later, I had broke up with him because we had nothing in common and believe it or not, but Hugo was reported dead the next day! I remember going to his funeral too.

Then I dated many, many guys who all too ended up dead...

One among them was Eric whom I actually liked and he died while we were slow dancing at a party. The scene flashed Infront of me as I dug into my memory and I involuntarily shuddered. An entire chandelier had fallen on him while I stepped away for a few seconds to get a drink. Like what the heck?! This experience had shown me that guys don't need to break-up with me. They die anyways..

Now I was 17 and its safe to say that I have killed more than 20 guys because of this bad luck and I think I should stop dating...

I hope Cameron isn't gonna suffer the same fate..

I sighed as I took a random book and flipped through it and as fate would have it, it was Romeo and Juliet. I angrily threw the book on the table.

I heard someone clear their throat as I was busy with my glaring contest with the stupid book. I looked up to see a charming face of a guy around my age. He was looking disapprovingly at me.

okay? What did I do to him?

I scanned him as I noticed a name tag "Jeremiah", it read. So he was a worker here. He was wearing a simple blue button up with black jeans and brown ankle boots. I liked his style.

"I'm sorry miss but you cant just come in throw books around." He said but all I could focus was on how beautiful his eyes were. His golden eyes had specks if green in them and were visible only when observed carefully. Shit- even my eyes aren't that attractive!

"Excuse me miss? Hello?" he asked as he waved his hand Infront of me. Damn. I just Made a fool of myself.

"Ahh! Sorry. umm.. I have to go now!" I yelled quickly as I manoeuvred around him to the door only to find the absence of my Uber and the oh-so-wonderful rain was still there.

As though on cue, a huge bolt of lighting struck, followed by a heavy rumble of thunder. I backed away slightly and was startled when my back hit none other then Jeremiah who still stood there.

"My Uber isn't here yet and I-" I started. "its okay. You can wait here as long as you like. Just be careful with the books " he pulled off smoothly. I smiled at him, muttering a thank you as I sat back down.

"I usually don't throw books around like that you know.." I said. I couldn't let my image be ruined Infront of this handsome guy now can l? He just hummed in response as he rearranged a few books.

"Let me help with that." I said, standing up, deciding to do him a favour.

Little did I know that this small favour was going to be a huge favour for him.

Hey guys.. I'm back with another brainstormed story of mine.. and I'm hoping to actually complete this one!
