Eevee's POV
_____________________

I walked till the entrance of the bookshop and stopped.

"You can go in from here can't you Bloom?'' I asked extra sweetly hoping she'd say yes.

"But I want you to meet my brother Eevee!" she yelled as she began pulling me into the shop.

"Ah! No, sorry sweetie but I have to go now.. I'm a bit busy today '' I blurted out. At this, her eyes widened as if she came across a nerve wracking theory or something.

"Of course! I'm sorry Eevee! I should've known! Of course fairies aren't free! If they don't work then who will protect innocent people from monsters?!" she asked as if this was a really concerning matter. But to her, it obviously was.

I just smiled and nodded as she waved me goodbye.

But before she could go inside, her brother came outside when he obviously saw her through the glass door.

"Brother Jerry! I met an actual fairy today!! Look! She helped me with my knee!" I heard Bloom squeal as I practically ran away from the shop. So her brother was Jeremiah. My prediction was correct.

"Oh really? A fairy huh? What happened to your knee though?" Jeremiah asked.

Bloom then explained whatever that happened between us and I heard Jeremiah chuckle.

"The fairy's name was Evannah! She let me call her Eevee! She was so~ beautiful! She has shiny white hair and the sparkliest aquamarine eyes I've ever seen! Do you think she's an ice fairy?!" I sniggered at Bloom's description of me and wondered how this 7 year old knew words like aquamarine.

At this Jeremiah muttered something incoherent along the lines of "seen somewhere" as they both went inside.

That was a close one.

After a painstaking half an hour walk, I finally made it to my home to see a black Hyundai parked in the driveway along with my mom's yellow Chevrolet.

Oh shit.. Looks like we were having guests.

I quickly walked over to the backside of my house as my introvert ninja skills kicked in. Then I quietly used my secret ladder to climb to the first floor of my house where my room was. I grabbed the window sill and dragged myself upward using all my strength and landed gracefully precise on my feet inside my room due to the fact that I did this at least thrice every week to escape from mom.

"Eevee! Are you home?" i heard my mom call

Shit-i was so quiet! Still she heard me!

"Yes mom" I admitted defeat.

"Okay then, get your a** down here! We have guests" mom yelled back.

I ignored her as I quickly took a shower and changed into a black nike t-shirt paired with creamish pink leggings. I dried my hair and decided to let it loose with a simple black headband.

I had always hated guests because mom was like 'go get to know them! Ask about their well-being!'

Like hell! What the heck am I supposed to ask them?!

Did you have a nice a** day cuz you better should because i'm asking you and if you didn't have a nice a** day then what will I tell my mom!?

I grumbled under my breath as I unwillingly dragged myself out. Then I finally went downstairs only to be greeted by none other than Jeremiah.
