It was the next morning and I was about to go out to the back when Dolores pulls me to the side
"Morning, Dol, what's up?" I asked
"I heard everything you and Tio Bruno talked about" Dolores said in a hushed tone like how she usually speaks
"I mean, of course you would, nothing new about that" I said, shrugging my shoulders
"Tio Bruno is right though, you aren't always this quiet. Is something bothering you, El? Is it a boy? You know you could always talk to us, right?" Dolores asked continuously
"Dol, calm down, nothing's wrong with me, I'm fine" I assured her, giving her my best smile, wishing in my head for her to drop the subject
"Fine, if you say so, but you can't stop me from worrying especially since I heard you telling Tio Bruno about your gift fading and the clouds dissipating" Dolores quickly said as I froze in place
She squeaked then quickly turn away, leaving me frozen in place as I snapped out and quickly ran after her
"Dolores, wait! Dolores!" I called, catching up to her
"Promise me you won't tell anyone, please, Dolores. I can't have anyone getting suspicious why I was in my room when I should be socializing with others last night" I said in a rush as I stared at her eyes with plea
"Please, Dolores, I don't know what I'd do if Abuela found out I was with Papa last night" I pleaded as Dolores just pursed her lips
"Fine, but next time you bond with Tio, make sure to bring me, alright?" Dolores said as I gave her a curt nod
"Dolores, Elisa, come on, it's time for breakfast" Tio Felix called, holding a plate
"Coming papa/tio" Dolores and I said before trailing after him, getting our own servings
We were getting our share when we noticed Mirabel talking to another Dolores while she just looked at Mirabel, not knowing what to do exactly
"Camilo, stop pretending you're Dolores so you can have seconds" Tio Felix scolded as we peaked from behind Tio as Camilo shifted back to himself, leaving Mirabel in disbelief
"Worth a shot" Camilo shrugged as Casita's window hit him twice in the elbow before he finally dodged and left
"The only one worried about the magic is you, and the rats talking in the walls" Dolores said, walking past Mirabel as I let them talk alone, walking to where Luisa placed the table
"Oh, and Luisa, I heard her eye twitching, all night, hmm" Dolores added before leaving Mirabel alone
"Everyone to the table, let's go, let's go" Abuela ordered as Casita placed the chairs
We all sat in our seats, I was facing Antonio who is beside Dolores, Tio Felix beside me with Tia Pepa on his other side. Abuela on the head of the table, between me and Antonio
"Family, we are all thankful for Antonio's wonderful new...gift" Abuela said as animals popped out from under her seat
"I told them to warm up your seat" Antonio eagerly said as he was surrounded by his pet animals too
"Thank you, Tonito" Abuela said as she gently shooed away the animals and Tio Felix gave him a thumbs up
"I'm sure today we'll find a way to put your blessings to good use" Abuela said as I just listened to her
However, it seems that Mirabel had other plans as she kept on talking to Luisa before she slammed her hand on the table and shouted "You do!" as we all turned to them
