today was the big day.
hanbin had barely gotten any rest, his mind preoccupied with thoughts of yerin.
they would be together, alone and truthfully he wasn't sure if he was ready for such a big thing.
it took him four hours to clean, not putting the cleaning stuff down until the house was spotless.
hao had left ten minutes ago, after bringing along with him all of yerin's favourite snacks, as well as some tips on things to talk about.
now all hanbin could do was wait. but he wasn't that great at it.
every time his phone buzzed he jumped up to see who messaged him. every time he heard any movement outside he thought it was her.
he was beginning to go insane, anticipation becoming a silent killer as he sat on the edge of his bed.
the sound of the doorbell caused him to fly off his bed, and he almost crawled to the front door.
before opening the door, he sorted himself out, making sure his breathing was back to normal, flattening his hair and mustering up the brightest smile.
"hey," he tried to seem causal as he opened the door, but as soon as he saw her, that was quickly discarded.
hanbin could already stare at yerin for hours on end- she always looked so effortlessly beautiful in his eyes.
but today she had managed to reach a level of beauty that threatened to knock the wind out of him.
"are we going to be standing here forever?" yerin's voice broke him out of his own delusions, as he quickly ushered her inside so she was no longer standing in the cold.
he took her jacket from her, hanging it up before heading to the kitchen, yerin following closely behind.
"this is a nice place," yerin observed as she looked around. everything was neat and put in order, just as she expected it to be.
"thanks, so is yours," hanbin said without thinking, internally cursing when he realised what he said.
yerin raised an eyebrow, "you haven't even seen my house."
"i know i just- i said that- i think i said it without thinking- how could i ever see your house?"
"hanbin," she moved closer to him, taking the glass of water from his hands and putting it down first.
she found it cute that he refused to look at her, eyes firmly on the ground as if there was something interesting down there.
"has no one told you it's rude not to look at someone when they're talking to you, pretty boy?" she used her pointer finger to raise his chin, her favourite thing to do to him.
hanbin's cheeks were flushed pink, not even able to muster up the strength to speak as he just nodded.
"that's better."
