Andrea stood in the doorway of her room while her sister sat on the bed.
"...and Derek did not see you?"
Andrea shook her head. Angelina flopped backwards causing the cascading blankets to fall into puddles on the floor. Angelina pulled out her phone to see her lockscreen. She dropped her phone on her stomach. "What are you feeling right now?" Andrea asked.
Angelina shrugged. "I don't know why but I am not shocked. Derek was always kinda fruity to me but I never thought he would act out on it."
Jackie knocked on the door frame right behind Andrea. She looked behind her and then moved out of the way for her brother in law to enter. Jackie sat on the floor next to his best friend and hugged her dangling leg. He patted her calf, "There, there." Angelina snorted and smacked him away. They laughed. He jumped up to the bed and looked at her as he held his head with his hands.
"Thanks, Jackie." Angelina smiled as she ruffled his hair.
"Hey, if I was straight I would date ya." He said with a big goofy smile. Andrea who finally made her way to the bed laughed. "I don't know if I would allow my brother in law to date my sister."
"But on a serious note," Jackie said as he got more comfortable on the edge of the bed. "How are we going to make it not obvious we know when we all work in the same hotel with those two fools?"
Angelina looked at the ceiling fan spinning above their heads. "Well, they both work in housekeeping so we don't have to see them as often, you only have to see them in the employee changing rooms."
Jackie shrugged and nodded.
"And you have been doing better with accidentally running into Eric at work."
Jackie nodded. Angelina sat up and turned to her family. "I am just going to act like nothing has happened but start collecting all the evidence of his cheating just to expose on our anniversary at the end of this year."
"But Angelina, that's a whole three months from now." Andrea rebutted.
"All the more time to make this all the more grand dios. WE will make this the best "anniversary party" ever."
"We?" Andrea said as she sat up. "Girl, don't include me in your revenge story."
"You kind of already are, Andrea." Jackie said matter of factly. "You were the one to expose, now you are the one to help close this chapter for your sister and of course with my help."
...
"Derek. I swear that was Andrea's car." Eric said as he bit another nail off his fingers.
Derek shook his head. "Remember she had to get a new car because of the wreck."
Eric nodded his head but he still wasn't fully convinced. He definitely saw a tall slender woman fitting Andrea's description. "Anyways," Derek interrupted Eric's thoughts. "We have a lot to get done here, boss." He nudged Eric.
Eric looked down at the employee evaluations that were blank on his desk. After a few minutes of filling out papers Eric spoke up, "Think we need to hire another inspector."
"Why am I not enough?" Derek pouted as he tried to give Eric puppy dog eyes. "Honestly, no." Derek sat up. "We both have been overwhelmed lately with running this department. We are down two housekeepers due to sickness, one of them might not be able to come back. We need to hire another inspector to help us with our own tasks and then help the housekeepers."
"I would love to have another laundry lady." Shouted out Mrs. Doberman.
"Sure because you need someone else to gossip with!" Eric rebutted.
