Three - Well, Hello Boss

Mia's POV

I woke up earlier than usual due to the nerves of going to the job interview. I took a shower to calm the nerves then dressed up in professional attire and took a cab to my job interview at Kingston Corporation.

I definitely couldn't show up riding my bicycle. As soon as I got there and walked in I was shocked at how elegant and modern everything looked. From the floor to the ceiling almost everything was black, white and grey with a few red items to make a pop of color. I walked to the receptionist and gave her my name.

"Hi, I have a job interview with Mr. Kingston at 9 a.m., I am Mia Franco."

She looked at me with no interest then pointed towards a fancy looking chair, "wait there for him, he should be out soon."

I sat down and waited patiently for a couple minutes then started to get impatient as time dragged on. I was happy when the secretary called me up and I followed her towards the office.

I was shocked when I walked in to find the handsome man from the coffee shop. I was expecting an old man with grey hair and eyeglasses but I was shocked to see this beautiful man before my eyes once again. I thought meeting him was once in a lifetime but I was glad I was wrong even if he did seem to have anger issues.

He looked at me with his green eyes but he looked different. His eyes looked cold and distant. All of a sudden there was a change in him and now his voice sounded like raw honey, "sit down please," he said charmingly.

I was kind of disappointed because he did not remember me from yesterday but then again I was covered in coffee so it's understandable. He said "Good morning, I am Alexander Kingston and you are?" then looked at his folder and continued "Look if you want the job it's yours, just read the hours, pay and stipulations then sign there and Savannah, your trainer, will be showing you around tomorrow." He threw a crooked smile towards me and my breath caught in my throat at how handsome he looked.

I was confused as to why there were no questions and he just gave me the job. I was expecting it to be a lot harder especially because of my lack of experience.

"Just like that? I mean I'm glad but I don't have any experience...?" I said and immediately regretted it.

"Well if I don't give you a chance you will never have experience now will you?" He smiled charmingly.

"Thank you Mr. Kingston," I said happily since I finally had a job!

"I don't mean to be rude but I have a meeting to attend, I'll walk you out?" He said politely.

"Of course, I'll be here bright and early," I said chirping.

"I'll be waiting," he said in a strange way but then he smiled and I forgot any doubt I had as I walked home.

After I got home and ate I took a nice shower and laid in bed looking through the folder. The rules were the usual. The only shocking thing I read was that I would be his secretary. Addison said I would be a receptionist for the third floor but apparently he had other ideas. I was totally okay with being close to that beautiful man and to add to that the pay was fabulous. It meant if I could save up enough then I could dedicate myself to painting for a while. I let my eyes close while I smiled because everything seemed to be working out now.

I opened my eyes to an annoying ringing and realized it was my phone. I quickly answered with a groggy voice, "hello?".

When Mr. Kingston answered with his sweet velvety voice I sat up rapidly, "hello, sorry to be calling this late.. I just wanted to see how you were".

I was confused, it seemed a little unprofessional.. Why would he care how I was?
"What?"

He stammered a little then said "I meant to see how you were doing with the guidelines... Was everything clear?"
