AS THE Mist Ninja of Team 4 descended from the shadows, they slowly advanced toward their targets undetected. Not only was she prepared to take down her former friend, but she also had the chance to kill one of her greatest enemies. She'll take it. The unexpected encounter with Leaf Ninja, especially their grey-haired Jōnin, was a twist of fate that Yuri couldn't ignore. Memories of their past clashes and the scars that marred her face were vivid in her mind and fueled her as she readied herself for the attack.

The tension in the forest was palpable, and the Mist Ninja's focus was unwavering. They were poised to strike, to settle old scores and fulfil their mission. It was a defining moment for Yuri and her squad, a chance to prove their worth amongst the higher-ups in the Hidden Mist Village.

The Mist Ninjas had trained diligently for this day, honing their skills, strengthening their bonds, and preparing for the unexpected. Yuri's squad members, Doremi, Yaragi, and Sezaki, shared her resolve, each bearing their motivations and dreams. They had trained tirelessly to reach this point, and the Land of Waves would be their crucible.

The Leaf Ninja under the leadership of the grey-haired jōnin ventured into the Land of Waves to protect a bridge builder from the rogue nin. The mission had been filled with danger, but it had forged the bonds between the newly formed squad, defining their roles as ninja and setting the stage for their future adventures.

With a silent signal, Yuri's squad members prepared to engage their targets. Doremi's eyes gleamed with determination as she readied herself to confront the yellow-haired Leaf Ninja. Yaragi's focus remained steady as he anticipated his battle against the pink-haired girl. Sezaki, poised and ready, prepared to engage the dark-haired boy from the Leaf Village. As for Yuri, her eyes bore into the back of the grey-haired jōnin.

The Leaf Ninja quickly turned their heads as they anticipated danger but it was too late. Their sharp senses detected the Mist Ninja's presence. A tense silence fell over the forest, as the attacking ninja had pinned the Leaf Ninja to their chest, all with weapons pointed to their necks, chests or backs.

The Leaf's sensei, with his mask pulled up over his mouth and nose, met Yuri's gaze over his shoulder. However, his movement was limited as her katana blade was pressing into his throat harshly. "Yuri Ren," he acknowledged, his voice calm and measured. "It seems we meet again."

Yuri's grip tightened on her katana as she pressed it more against his throat. "You left me with these scars, Hatake," she hissed, her eyes filled with a potent mix of anger and determination. "I haven't forgotten."

Kakashi Hatake. The Copy Ninja of the Leaf. A most prestigious fighter and Yuri's worst enemy. The grey-haired boy — now a man — had scarred her once unblemished face. Twice. He had caused a lot of damage to her. Damage that she was more than happy to repay to him.

Kakashi, unfazed by the blade at his throat, spoke with no hint of regret. "I remember."

Yuri chuckled lowly. "You speak confidently for a man about to die."

Kakashi laughed, his eyes closing briefly. "I have nothing to fear. You couldn't kill me the last two times we met. You couldn't even scar me."

His harsh mockery caused Yuri to sneer. Her eyes snapped to her squad of genin. Her gaze examined the young Leaf Ninja they had captured. "I didn't take you as the fathering type. You're such a cold-hearted villain after all."

Kakashi narrowed his visible eye at Yuri. "I've warmed up since we last met, Yuri."

Yuri smiled bitterly. "I wonder if you'll revert to your old ways if I kill your team here."

The intensity of their encounter didn't go unnoticed by the yellow-haired boy, who had caught a glimpse of the confrontation. "Who are they, Kakashi Sensei?" he inquired, his concern piqued.

Kakashi maintained his focus on Yuri, his dark, uncovered eye never leaving her. "Yuri Ren. A Mist Ninja. You could say we're foes." he explained. "This is a personal matter between us."

"Foes?" Yuri scoffed. "You're worse than just a foe. You're my enemy."

Sakura, unsure of the situation, whispered to Sasuke. "What should we do?"

The dark-haired boy, ever vigilant, had his hand hovering over his kunai holster, prepared for any situation. "We wait for Kakashi Sensei's signal," he replied.

"Whatever happened to your old squad anyways?" Yuri poked at the cornered man. "Did you kill them? It's not beyond you to kill people's teams for no reason."

"We're ninjas. We had orders." Kakashi spoke deeply with a glare.

"That's not a 'no'," Yuri smirked, appreciating the power she had over him. "Does your team know you're a monster?"

"Enough!" A young scratchy voice yelled out. Yuri's eyes snapped in the direction of the voice seeing the yellow-haired boy seething. "Stop telling lies about our sensei!"

Yuri laughed. "Is that the fox brat I've heard of?" Around the ninja villages, there are people who have sealed creatures inside of them; these creatures are Tailed Beasts - creatures made purely of immense chakra that only a few people could handle. And this boy who so bravely stood up for his defenceless sensei was one of them. The Nine Tails Jinchuriki. "Kill him." She ordered Doremi. She tried, stabbing her kunai into his chest but he disappeared in a puff.

"Shadow Clones?" Doremi questioned, but it was too late. The redhead was pinned to the ground with a boot on her back. The real yellow-haired boy. He flung several shuriken at Yuri who skillfully deflected them with the blade of her katana without breaking a sweat or releasing her hostage.

"Impressive." Yuri complimented. "But that's not going to save the rest of your team or complete your mission." Silence fell in the forest as Yuri analysed the situation. Doremi was the best fighter in her squad. She couldn't live with herself if she died. Especially so young. Even though she was raised in the Mist, she was not as cold as the blood that ran through the elder's veins. "As much as I'd love to annihilate you, I think you'd be useful to me."

"Oh?" Kakashi asked, intrigued. "I never thought I see the day the Deadly Lily of the Mist would be asking for my help. Of all people..."

Yuri still behind him, pressed her katana harder making him back up against her. "Don't make me regret this, Hatake."
