*+:。.。scared revelations

‿‿‿‿

Kaigaku's eyes widened, staying still in his spot as he kept eye contact with a scared Agatsuma..Who was not Agatsuma, and was instead a disgusting, filthy demon. Kaigaku had to remind himself of this fact, but it was hard when the thing was just as much as a scaredy cat as what used to be Agatsuma..But maybe that was because his transformation was new. It was night, so that means he had to have been turned that night, as if he were turned before, he would have burned to dead due to the sun.

Suddenly, Kaigaku realized something. The only person..who was able to create demons..was the Demon King himself, Kagaya Ubuyashiki. He snarled at the thought, hatred seeping through his body.

Suddenly, he heard a small squeak from Agatsuma, drool dripping from his lips and onto his chin. Kaigaku tried turning his expression into a neutral one, though that didn't stop the look of fear on the younger boy's face.

Suddenly, Kaigaku was lunged at. He let out a surprised grunt, having to hold back the yellow haired boy. He didn't seem to have changed too much, but the look of pure fear and aggression was certainly a demon's. To think..that he would be trying to kill Kaigaku..it was unbelievable.

He heard a small growl, a sound that he certainly was not used to coming from Agatsuma, the pitiful boy who cried and whined during most of his training..Agatsuma had gotten stronger, a wish of his, but at what cost exactly..?

"Shut up! Stop this!" Kaigaku yelled, some spit coming out with the ferocity of his voice. He easily overpowered the smaller boy, pushing his wrists onto the ground, making a soft audible noise.

Agatsuma bore a pained expression, eyes squeezed together as he usually did when he was holding back tears, despite the fact that both him along with Kuwajima and Kaigaku knew that he would just explode with sobs despite his efforts.

Kaigaku stared at him for a moment, taking in the newfound information. Agatsuma simply laid limply on the ground, not fighting anymore, as Kaigaku did this. It was strange, but Kaigaku thanked him for it in his head. Kuwajima had died, due to a demon..and Agatsuma got turned in the process.

Kaigaku wanted to deny the facts, saying that their master was still alive and that Agatsuma was a perfectly normal human who would be in final selection and survive, though never getting to Kaigaku's level due to him being better.

But..living proof that the events had just transpired was laying right in front of him, touching the cold wrists of Agatsuma Zenitsu. Kaigaku bit back a scowl, ignoring the strands of hair that were falling into his eyes.

"..Agatsuma." Kaigaku couldn't help but whisper his name, silently itching for Agatsuma to show a slight bit of humanity, just hoping he wouldn't have to slice the neck of the one who he had trained with.

Even if Kaigaku wasn't exactly fond of the small thunder-scarred boy..He still just couldn't imagine himself using his sword and personally decapitating the fifteen year old.

Suddenly, Kaigaku was snapped out of his thoughts when he heard a silent cry. He adjusted his gaze to move towards the boy, when he saw a waterfall of tears rushing down Agatsuma's face.

His eyes were red and puffed up already, though the corners of Agatsuma's eyes were usually red anyways due to how much he had cried. Instead of feeling annoyed at him, Kaigaku let out a soft sigh. He must have been so hungry, but..

There was no fucking way that Kaigaku was about to let Agatsuma become a man-eating demon. But..What the hell was he supposed to do with the boy? It was still night, but he didn't know how long that would last, or where he would stay.

Kaigaku did sort of have his own manor, but..It was far from where they were currently. Mostly, Kaigaku liked that Master Kuwajima's estate was somewhat far from society because nobody would be able to bother them, but in that moment it had been a hindrance.

He let out a sharp sigh, annoyed yet again. Like how fear was utterly common for Agatsuma, annoyance was like second nature to Kaigaku. He loosened his grip on Agatsuma's wrists, easily picking him up. He felt himself be slightly surprised by this, but remembered that Agatsuma wasn't exactly the most muscular boy ever, and that he was still a fifteen year old. A child.

"We're going somewhere, okay? I don't know where, but we'll figure it out or some shit," Kaigaku grumbled, simply informing Agatsuma of what they were doing before putting the boy on his back. It was somewhat uncomfortable, but it would have to work for the time.

He felt Agatsuma nod onto his back, leaning more into it. For once, Kaigaku didn't fight the extra physical contact and he started to walk. This time..he had a time limit. The difference between him coming to his master's estate and leaving..Kaigaku scoffed a little at the thought.

He looked up at the sky as he walked. It was mostly a clear night, twinkling stars expanding as far as he could see. He squinted, feeling the moon's bright rays. It was fake, but it was still bright..

Maybe that was all this situation was..Fake hope that Agatsuma would stay humane, but in fact start murdering the first person he sees as soon as he gets slightly peckish. Kaigaku knew that his will wasn't all that strong after all..

But still, Kaigaku desperately clung onto the hope that this would never happen, no matter how fake this determination was. Agatsuma was the only one left from his childhood, and like hell he was about to give that up.

He smirked at the sky, and it was as if he could feel the stars shining just a little brighter at this action.
