It was Regulus' 4th year of Hogwarts, and he is friends with Rita, Bellatrix, Narcissa, Barty, Evan, James, Lily, Pandora, Dorcas, Lucius and used to be Serverus'.

I was sitting in the library, reading about muggles when I heard a voice, it was calm. "Hi. Do you mind if I sit next to you? There's nowhere else right now." I look up to see the Gryffindor tie and scars, must have been that Remus guy, my brot- I mean Sirius used to talk about. "Oh, er, no, not at all." Oh? Why did I say that? Now he's going to tell Sirius, isn't he? I mean, isn't Sirius Remus' boyfriend? "Muggles?" He questions, his voice smooth and calming. Oh god, I don't really think that... Do I? "Yes, is there something wrong with it?" I look him directly in the eye, I think I lost my page, I would usually be annoyed, but im not.. Am I ill? "Oh, of course there isn't anything wrong that, actually I could always help."
"What is the function of a rubber duck then?" Remus bursts out laughing, "What? I'm serious." He rubs his eyes and slowly stops laughing. "Sorry, sorry, it's just that I've never been asked that before. Not even Sirius would- oh... sorry.. I didn't mean to bring him up.." I looked at him. How did he know that I didn't like bringing him up? "Oh, uh, it's fine, I guess. Erm, aren't you dating him?" In my defence here, I just wanted to know. "Yeah, actually, we're going on a date later."
"Oh, cool."

I sit in the girls' bathroom, thinking about Remus, I shouldn't, though I'm dating James, and Remus is dating my br- Sirius. James slides down the wall, sitting next to me. "REGGIE, OH, HOW I MISSED YOU." Did I ever mention how annoying James can be sometimes? "Hi Jamie, love you too." Why do I call him that? "Aww, still calling me Jamie?" I want to punch him, even worse sometimes. "Shut up, I'm trying to read." He rolls his eyes. "Reading is boring-" "James, why are you here?" I didn't mean to say it out loud, or even in a pissed off way. "I want kisses, and me and Sirius are going to go prank snape."
"Why don't you leave him alone for once, and can you stop mentioning Sirius? You talk about him every day."
"Stop being so sensitive, reggie."
"I'm not."
"Well, you're standing for snape."
"So? Just leave him alone."
"But he likes Lily."
"Does that matter? You have me.."
"Are you saying that I love Lily?"
"No, of course not."
"If you're just going to think I love Lily, I might just as well break up with you."
"Wait.." I'm not going to beg... "Please don't break up with me.." Fuck, why did I beg..?
"But you think I want Lily?"
"I'm sorry, you don't want Lily, you would never want her I'm sorry, just, please dont break up with me.."
I can't believe I did that, what's up with me today? Maybe I'm just tired.. I mean, why would I ever think that James actually loves Lily... Right?

Barty lays back down. "Are you sure you're alright, re?" I can't help but let out a small nickname, 're'. "Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just a bit tired." Barty sits up and looks confused.
"You aren't going to stay up really fucking late and study or read?" I sigh, maybe I am ill. "Language Bartimus Crouch Junior." He chuckles. "Good night, Regulus Arcturus Black." I tuck myself in bed, letting sleep take over. My body drifts away when he came back, the same person I only saw once. Remus.
