Well, I'm back! Sorry if this post is a bit late; tackling school and Inktober can surely be one heck of a difficulty, especially with all the assessments/projects I've had this week. Don't worry, I didn't forget about Inktober. I just didn't wanna stress myself out too much, especially since the last thing I'd wanna do is rush any of these sketches.
That said, I decided with this prompt, "Fortune," that I'd experiment with shading, a skill that I'd really like to start more in my art. When I saw the name of this prompt, I instantly thought of the one thing I loved ever since I was younger: fortune cookies. To this day, I still remember always getting so excited to open one of these whenever my family would order Chinese takeout, just waiting to see what my fortune would say, even if I never really understood them that well when I was younger. 😅
