Chapter 5
More than 40 years ago, a mysterious crime occurred. The crime scene was filled with secrets and clues, and Y/N received some intriguing documents during her vacation. They were detailed police reports and testimonies from a woman accused of murdering her friend. These documents caught her attention, and she decided to embark on a new project.
Y/N attended a meeting with Lesli Linka Glatter, the director of an exciting project called "Love & Dead." It was a 7-episode miniseries based on a real crime, narrated from the perspective of Candy Montgomery, the woman accused of the crime. In the meeting, there were producers, executive producers, and other filmmakers. During the meeting, Y/N received an offer to be the lead cinematographer on this project due to her ability to turn scenes into vivid images. She was thrilled about this opportunity and gladly accepted it.
The next step was to study the script and visually design the series, selecting colors, lighting, framing, and atmosphere. The whole team worked hard in the following days before presenting the script to the actors.
In a way, the story felt close to her. In the past, her partner betrayed her, so she could understand the feelings of the victim in the story.
For this miniseries, telling the story from the perspective of a woman who had a relationship with her friend's husband and had to defend herself will be a challenge for Y/N if she allows her own feelings to influence her work. After all, she hasn't overcome those emotions; she has avoided them.
After a long day, to clear her mind, Y/N bought tea at Javista and headed to the beach. After a long walk along the seashore, she sat in a quiet spot and enjoyed a beautiful sunset. The sun slowly slid towards the horizon, painting the sky with warm and soft colors, creating a breathtaking view. The waves kissed the shore with a constant whisper, and the salty breeze caressed her skin.
A celestial show worth capturing. Y/N had her camera, a Canon A1 35mm, and was impressed by the beauty of the sunset. She started taking pictures of this special moment.
While capturing this moment with her camera, someone approached her and with a soft voice said, "hello." It was Lizzie, with her emerald eyes and a radiant smile that added to the beauty of the sunset. Y/N, excited, cheerfully responded and invited her to sit beside her.
