Rookee's Grayscale Dream

The leader of the Table Topz Rookee dreamt...

What did she dream about? Who knows...

But all she could see standing in front of her was...

Herself.

- "What th... Who are you-?!" Rookee said as she backed away from the figure that resembled her.

The figure looked... Monochrome, standing in a grayscale landscape.

It was creepy, to be honest.

- "... Why aren't you saying anything..." Rookee hesitantly asked.

It still didn't say anything.

Until...

- "H..e...l...p...m..e..."

With a gasp, Rookee jolted upwards from her bed.

It was just a nightmare...

- "What... Was that..?" Rookee looks at her palms, taking some deep breaths to calm herself down.

Yet she also felt something wet coming down her eyes.

It was tears, she was crying.

Sniffling, another mixel opened the door.

- "Sis?" Ace came in through the doorway. "Why are you crying?"

- "Huh? Oh.. Ace." Rookee looked over at her brother as he came towards her. She didn't want to admit it but it wasn't healthy to keep it in. "Just... Just a nightmare.."

- "D'awww, poor big sister..." Ace sympathetically hugged her. "Don't cry..."

Rookee hugged him back with a slight smile.

- "Thanks, brother..." She said.

Da-Doh suddenly rolled into the room, like a die being thrown onto a board game table.

- "Hey, Da-Doh!" Ace greeted while Rookee waved to them warmly.

- "Eyy, pals! I made breakfast for all of us!" Da-Doh got out multiple plates of pancakes.

Well, chess-cakes in Table Topz' alternate.

- "Oh, good. C'mon guys, let's dig in." Rookee said with a smile, seemingly forgetting about the nightmare she had thanks to her siblings.

Suddenly, Ace spoke up.

- "Hey, guys? Haven't you heard the news?"

- "What news?" Rookee asked, raising an eyebrow.

Ace frowned.

- "About the monochrome syndrome..."

- "Oh yeah, I've heard about that..." Da-Doh nodded. "What bout you, Rookee?"

Ace shrugged, as if saying that Rookee probably doesn't know.

The nightmare.

Should she tell them about it?

Rookee stayed quiet, as if lost in thought.

- "Sis? You okay?" Ace would tap her shoulder, causing her to stop dazing out.

- "Oh, yeah.. yeah, I'm okay." Rookee stated, which only made Ace look concerned. Rookee noticed his expression and took a deep breath in and out, seeing as she might as well tell the truth. "Alright.. I guess I should tell you about the whole.. nightmare I had.

Rookee laid down on her bed as Ace and Da-Doh walked up close. She began telling them about the dream, the greyscale she was in, especially when she saw herself in monochrome color. Explaining all of this made her tear up again.

Da-Doh pulled out a box of tissues for her as Ace hugged her once more.

- "Don't cry, sis... You have your siblings..." Ace said comfortingly.

- "Yeah, you don't have to worry... We're here for ya..." Da-Doh reassured.

Rookee hugged both of them back, wiping off the tears that dropped down from her eyes.

- "You wanna play some games, that could get your mind off things!" Ace suggested.

- "Mhm..." Rookee said with a small smile.

Ace cheered as Da-Doh picked up the pancakes which were starting to get cold, they still have them for some reason. The three Mixels would finish up their breakfast, brightening up their day.
