Rainbow After The Rain

Chapter 2

The recital got rescheduled due to reservation conflict. We were supposed to perform on Saturday, but it will be moved by next week. Same day. The problem is, it's the same day as Camille's debut.

Our class just ended. Kai, Von, and I went straight to my house to prepare for Cassie's debut. The dresses and suite we ordered just arrived three days ago. It was customize! I'm glad the designer was Von's friend so we were able to get a discount. Since we already went all out with our dresses, we decided to hire an HMUA.

All of us are are wearing different shades of blue since it was the theme. I'm wearing a baby blue tulle off long gown and Von is wearing a strapless dark blue dress with a slit. Her black hair that ends around her waist is perfectly down while my brown hair is tied into a clean bun. We also added accessories to add shine to the look. I'm wearing the blue white gold diva's dream necklace from Bulgari and I lent Von my heart pendant Chopard necklace.

I decided to go for a dewy look and Von went with a modern look. My mouth fell open when I saw her. She is gorgeous! I was about to compliment her when her phone rang. "I'll just take this, Stel. You go ahead," I nodded before getting my clutch bag.

Dito lang sa sala ng second floor kami nag-makeup at bago sila iwanan ay sinugarado kong pakainin muna ang makeup artist at team niya. Malayo pa kasi ang biyahe nila. Sinenyasan ko si Von na bababa na ako dahil kausap niya pa rin kung sino man ang tumawag.

The gown ended on the floor, but it was not heavy nor too long. It hugged my body well and at it was still comfortable. Later, there will be an after party but I don't know if we will be joining it since we still have a class. Just to be sure, I brought a pair of swimsuit and pair of clothes. I immediately went straight to the living room and found Kai scrolling down on his phone.

"Kai," I called to get his attention. "You're... here," it took a long time before he could finish his sentence. My brows furrowed when he just stared at me for a long time. I took out my phone and there's no sign of flaw. I even checked my gown to see if there is something wrong. "Is there a problem?" He shook his head.

"Well, actually, there is. And it's the color of your tuxedo. Didn't you choose navy blue?" I sat beside him, his left arm is resting on the sofa and his body is tilted to face me. Kai's black hair is in a slicked back. "They run out of a navy blue cloth and if they were to buy, they said it would take two weeks," I slowly nodded. Now, we're wearing the same shade of blue.

I asked Manong to drive us to Cassie's house. Kai opened the van's door for us and since Von's gown is a bit heavier, I had to help her go up by carrying the end of the gown. "Stel," I turned to Kai who was still holding the door. "Ganda mo," my brows raised, unsure of what he said. We've been friends for a few years already and this is my first time to hear him compliment me! Wow! This is new Louisse!

I chinned up. "Everyday, Louisse," I heard him chuckle when I was about to get in the van. Cassie's house wasn't too far, but because of traffic it became a 20 minute ride. On our way there, I couldn't help but to think about what he said. That was something very new and unusual of him. As much as I don't want to put meaning to it, he looked and sounded serious.

There were already a lot of cars outside and their big gate is open. As expected, I saw a few familiar faces. "Harvin is here! Oh, wow and they're still together pa pala!" I didn't mind the familiar name. That was already years ago. "Tawag nalang po kayo kung papasundo na," I nodded and bid goodbye to Manong. Since Kai was the nearest to the door, of course it is his responsibility to open it. He went out first and helped Von get out.

Napatingin ako sa kamay niyang aalalay sa akin pagbaba, kahit ramdam ko ang pagtingin niya ay hinawakan ko pa rin ito. May kagaspangan ang kamay niya at tamang-tama ang gupit sa kuko.
