I was surprised by how quick they were able to clean the place. The pool is now open and some already went in, playing with with water gun. The bubble machines, lighting, and music totally lit up the place.

"Oh, look andoon si Kai. Let's go!" She dragged me to the beer pong table. His arm is resting on a friend's shoulder, watching the game. He is wearing a black drawstring short and his physique is growing. I guess Kai is really spending a lot of time in the gym, huh? His biceps are getting bigger.

Napatingin siya sa amin nang bigla kaming makisiksikan ni Von. "Stay here. I'll grab a drink," eksaktong pagtalikod niya ay biglang akong hinila ni Von. Napanganga ako nang bigla nalang siyang magsimula maglaro.

I know she's eighteen, but we have a class! She threw a ball and it went inside a cup. "Von, two drinks only!" I yelled to make sure everyone hears it. I don't care if this is a violation in the peers, but no way I'm letting her go home drunk. When their opponent successfully threw a ball, Von and the other girl playing with her had to chug a drink.

"Chug, chug, chug!" People cheered for them. Von finished her drink first and raised the red cup in the air that made the crowd louder. I shook my head and massaged the bridge of my nose. "Don't worry. It's not pure beer. We mixed it with flavored beer," my head tilted to my right. A guy in a dark blue drawstring shorts raised a brow at me. "Marco," he offered his hand. I glanced at it before deciding to accept it.

"And you are?"

"Estella," I answered with a small smile. Not long after, Kai returned with the drinks. "Here you go," I accepted the blue drink that I assume is a blue lemonade. We remained there until Von had her second drink. She was pouting when I pulled her from the game. "Don't worry. We'll also play again!" My hand made its way to cling on her arms. "You can't be wasted, Von. We still have a class," Kai, who is beside Von, added.

We continued assuring her that she will play again until we reached a table. Kai and I looked like a parent that pulled their kid from the arcade and assuring her that she can play again!

"You're nagtatampo na naman," I moved closer to her. Now, I'm in between Kai and Von. She sticked out her tongue like a kid. "Come on, Von. Besides, you shouldn't be drinking-"

"Shh ka nalang, Kai!" Putol niya. "Sumbong kita kay Stel, eh," napataas ang kilay ko bago napatingin kay Kai na nalilito. Anong isusumbong sa akin? "Tell her what? I didn't even do anything!"

Stel rolled her eyes before allowing herself to enjoy the comfortable outdoor sofa. Some people passing by stopped to greet Kai or Von or the both of them. Some would just look at me and smile, but the girl in a red bikini was different. She extended her arm for an introduction. "I'm Kylie! Finally, I met Kai's girl!" I simply smiled and shook my head.

"Estella. I'm just a friend. It's nice meeting you," Kylie's bright red lips turned into an o before throwing a confuse look at Kai. "Oh, I thought," she turned to me and smiled again. "I'm sorry! Sige, I'll leave you muna!"

We decided not to call our drivers and just drive on our own. Kai can drive because he didn't drink. We were in a dark part of the subdivision when the car suddenly stopped. I mean, it's not that very dark but only a few lampposts are working! Some are even flickering like the ones you see in a horror movie. All I could hear are the crickets.

"Stay here," Kai unbuckled his seat belt and was about to leave when I held his hand. "No, you're not going anywhere. What if someone is around?" I said, still holding his hand. He sighed and chuckled. "Look, we're still inside the village. I'll just check if there's something wrong," I shook my head. "How are we going to fix our problem?" He rested his arm around my seat, facing me. "I'll be back."
