     Imani sat at her desk, surrounded by the comforting hum of her writing space. Her phone's sharp ring pierced the quiet, startling her from her thoughts. She picked up the receiver, her heart thumping with anticipation.

Imani answered the phone in a formal matter,

"Hello?"

A voice on the phone, 

"Good morning, Imani. This is Stephen from Creative Ventures we spoke before about a month ago about one of your books 'Eternal Resolve'. I have some thrilling news for you."

"Oh, hello Stephen. Please, go on."

He continued, 

"We've been absolutely blown away by that book. It's such a compelling story that we're eager to adapt it into a feature film. We want you to be involved in the process, working closely with our team and the director. The location for the filming is set in New York."

Imani's breath caught in her throat as the weight of the words sank in. Her hands trembled with a mix of excitement and nervous energy.

Stephen, I... I don't know what to say. This is incredible news. Thank you for believing in my work.

"Of course, Imani. We believe your story has the potential to resonate with audiences far and wide. We'd love to have you on board as we bring your characters and narrative to life."

"Janelle it's not your damn money!" Nadine nudged her.

Unable to contain her amusement. "We'll have to make sure she remembers us little people when she's hobnobbing with all the A-listers!" 

Imani rolled her eyes in mock exasperation. "Come on, Nadine, you know I could never forget my two partners-in-crime, my ride-or-die duo!"

Janelle leaned back in her chair, adopting a faux dramatic tone. "Oh, we better be invited to all the fancy premieres and after-parties. No leaving us out in the cold with the paparazzi, okay?"
