Twenty (Ethans pov)

God i hate the sound of the alarm. It was too early and my head was killing me. Practice was going to suck. Coach Meyer said he had to talk to the team about something important.

   I turn over to see that Avery still hasn't come back to the dorms. I have to stop thinking about her. Think about hockey that's what's important. Distractions are the last things that I need. I still remember seeing her eyes begin to water. It killed me to see her get so upset.

   The worse part is I was the reason she was so upset. Shit I gotta go before Im late.

   I can't get her off my mind when warming up. I have to focus i almost missed that pass come on. Coach blows the whistle and tells us to stay a little after in the locker room cause he needs to talk.

   I look over to Dylan. What was coach going to say? More importantly what was I going to say to Avery. Oh my bro focus come on.

    "I know this is when things begin to change the start of our season is taking off. Hockey should be your main priority. No girls, No parties just hockey," then coach began to read off our game schedule.

    "Yo you good, you were off a lil today," luke looks at me.

   "Yea i'm good," i just gotta focus.

   "You know what he needs. Some pussy man," nick laughed, "We're going out later no sitting at home playing with yourself come out it'll be fun."

  Maybe I should get out. I have to focus. You screwed up with Avery. She's not gonna want you anymore so forget about it.

    "I know what you're thinking. Don't be stupid, Avery is just upset she'll come back around, I overheard her and Abby talking." Dylan whispered.

    "What? What were they saying," this kid.

   "Can't say I swore your girlfriend I wouldn't say." Dylan doesn't know what he just said. I still have a shot? What happens if he's lying. But maybe he's not? Does Avery still want me.

  Part of me is saying go for it. The other is saying focus on hockey. Maybe I would go out tonight maybe I would try and talk to Avery. Well see.
