I don't know what Avery was thinking. The room has just been completely silent and awkward. Neither of us knew what to say. Would this be how it is even if we did kiss?
Avery's in the bathroom getting dressed. If she was going to go to that party I was keeping my eye on her the whole night. I opened the door after someone was obnoxiously loud banging at our door.
Oh great more girls. "Hi im Sarah and this is Abby." They both stood their in shock just staring at me. "Ok?" I asked very confused. They then ran to the bathroom full of giggles. God I don't get girls.
"Princess your friends are here," I say putting on my shirt. "You're so lucky, like did you see Ethan just now." I hear one of the say very loud. "Ok what's wrong? You've been to quiet." The other one asks. I was now finished getting dressed and I wanted to hear what was going on. She wasn't going to tell me but she would tell her friends.
"Me and Ethan almost kissed and now it's been super awkward. The problem is I wanted him to kiss me. And I know he hates me and all that but I'm not so sure anymore. We didn't kiss because his teammates walked back in and we haven't talked since." Avery said. So she did want to kiss me? Damn Luke and his phone.
My teammates walk in on me bending down with my head pressed against the bathroom door. "Dude what are you?" I interrupted Mark by shushing him. This left the guys laughing.
I stand up just incase they heard I'm not trying to get caught. "Dude what are you doing?" Mark asked again. They looked at me confused in return. "Ok fine I was just listening to what they were talking about."
"Oh yeah that's totally normal. Speaking of Avery you and her almost kissing?" Luke asks getting all the rest of them to look up from their phone and agree. "Uhm.. I." I didn't know what to say.
"Uhm uhm uhm, use your big boys words now Ethan." Dylan said for shits and giggles. "Yeah cause last time we talked you said you were swearing off girls for this season. What changed?" Dylan is gonna be the death of me.
"Yeah," they all said agreeing. Luke looked at me waiting for an answer. Just then Avery walked out of the bathroom. Damn she looked good, the dress and the hair.
Finally," Dylan says. "Well sorry we want to look good for a party clearly you guys just don't care." The blonde responded I think her name was Sarah. Dylan isn't used to girls talking back to him, he had went silent. "Damn, your friend shut Dylan up I like them." I said looking at Avery. She just smiled.
"So at the party I suggest you guys should stay with one of the guys just because you three are freshman." Luke says. Of course I didn't wanna babysit but I did want Avery to be near me all night. I didn't want another guy getting near her. She looked to good and guys were definitely going to try something and she wouldn't know any better as being a freshman.
"We don't need babysitters." The three of them said looking at the rest of us. Damn there was a lot of people here. Girls were already making their way over to us aimlessly flirting.
All these girls fall at my feet. Yet Avery couldn't care less I wanted her. Her only. I didn't want anyone else to have her. I looked over to her talking to Luke and laughing. This was going to be one long night.
