Y/n's pov:

What I saw shook me to my core

This can't be

My dad

He was pinning vance against the wall, holding a knife

My mum was on the floor, not moving

"Where is it?!" He demands
The floor boards creek, and he looks over to me. He shoves vance on the floor and makes his way to me

I couldn't move

Why can't I move

"Y/n, look at you, all grown up." He stares into my eyes. I look at my mum
A tear strolls down my face

"She'll be fine when she wakes up. we'll talk it out, and we can be one big family again, but before then, I need to know where your mum has hidden her money. You wouldn't happen to know where it is?" I shake my head
"You know who you reminded me of?"

"N-no." Is all I could spit out

"You remind me of your mother when  younger, so pretty." He strokes my face

I shut my eyes tight

"Get the fuck of my sister!" Vance yells as he hits dad on the head with a pan
"Run, y/n, run and hide!" He screams and I do just that

I run across the street to Robins

The light wasn't turned on and the door was locked

I start pounding on the door screaming "LET ME IN!"

robin opens the door with a shocked face and lets me in

"What's going o-?"

"My mum and vance!" I start sobbing

"What about them?" Robins uncle asks

I'm breathing and crying hard

"They're In danger, my dad!"

"Your dad?"

"I need to hide, hide me, hide m-!" I get cut off by a knock on the door
"Don't open it."

"Robin, go hide y/n in your closet, I'm going to open the door."

"NO, he has a knife." I yelp out

"It'll be ok."

And with that robin was dragging me upstairs

He opens the closet door

"Be quiet, I love you, y/n." He whispers in my ear and gives me a kiss

I enter the closet and he closes it

It's really dark and any sound coming from outside is muffled

I put my hand on my mouth to be more quiet

That's when I hear comotion

"SIR, I DON'T KNOW WHERE YOUR DAUGHTER IS, GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!"

Shit

He's in the house

"Sorry sir, what are you doing in my room?"

"I know she's in here!"

"Who?"

"Don't play dumb with me!"

I was trying so hard not to make a sound but a small squeak comes out

"So she's in closet."

I hear footsteps but then they stop when there are sirens

Thank god

The police are here

I hear a fud

"Sir you are under arrest, anything you say can and will be used against you."

I hear them leave

"Kid are you ok, where's the other?" I hear an officer say

"In the closet."

Then the light fills my eyes

"Hey, are you ok, he's gone now." The fuzz say calmly

"My mum and vance." I whisper

"They've been taken to hospital but they should be fine."

I start to cry once again

Gosh I feel like a big baby

"Can she stay here officer."

"Sounds like she'll have to."

The copper leaves and I'm sat staring off in the distance

"Y/n, I'm really sorry about earlier." He sounded upset

"It's fine."

"You sure?"

"Yeah, as you can tell, that wasn't the most crazy thing today."

He gives a pity laugh

We then go to bed

But I didn't sleep
