Chapter 10- Identity Mishap

"What Ive been eating at the table this whole time."

"First of all, WHAT? Second, you asked me to the ball and you arent gonna at least like get me a drink or dance with me?"

"Im sorry ok. I was also er uhm talking to Jace."

"So Jace is more important than me ay?"

"Fine I wasnt talking to him...he was uh lets see....puking in the mens room so I helped him."

"Oh yuck. Why?"

"Hes allergic to cheese."

"Seriously..."

"Well lemme make it up to you. Lets dance."

"Ok sure."

But who was that guy. Hes just as tall as Jack. Same voice. He looks like Jack. A bit to much. Could it be Finn? Why would he do that? Why would he kiss my forehead?

So many questions but no answer. I dont wanna get white hair from stressing over this. Ill just enjoy the rest of the night. We danced for 5 minutes then they were about to announce prom prince and princess.

I saw Katie, the host, and Dave, the other host, go on stage. Katie was the principals daughter and Dave was her brother. Katie and Dave went to a different school because they live with their dad. Yes, the principal is divorced.

Katie held one velvet envelope while Dave held a gold one. Oh I forgot to mention that they say prince or princess or king or queen because it sounds better than ball prince or etc. Right?

"Good evening guys! Hows the ball?" Katie questioned while pointing the mic at us, students,to answer. There were a variety of answers like yes, no, we need more food, or the musics awesome.

"Well guys. Yes we will be bringing out more food. I heard that Mike. Anyways. We will be announcing prince and princess first then queen and king." Dave said then told Katie to open the envelope. Dave had an awesome voice. He is a good singer.

I always had a small crush on him. Hahahaha. Sometimes when he visits his mom, the principal, with Katie, he would wait for me by my locker and we would talk a bit. But I always looked at him as a friend because I know he would never like me.

Katie finally opened the envelope and gasped.

"For princess we have.....DANIELLA!" Katie yelled through the mic while clapping. Katie was good friends with Daniella because apparently Katie and Dave used to study here until the divorce of course.

Daniella walked to the stage while saying 'omg' like thousands of times. When she got on stage Katie put the tiara on Daniellas head.

"And for prince we have........
KEVIN!" Katie yet again yelled through the poor mic while clapping. Kevin and Daniella were so shocked. Kevin ran to stage like a girl. Everyone laughed while clapping. He got his crownish thing.

Dave started opening his envelope. He opened it and gasped as well. He had this evilish smile on his face. I wonder who it is.

"So. For queen we have.....
SHAILENE!" Dave yelled through the mic. Everyone started clapping and started to look at me. Why?
"Shailene. Dont you wanna get your crown. Or. Do you wanna give it to me?" Dave laughed. Wait. ME?!

I ran to the stage and was crowned queen of prom.
"Dave. Are you sure its me?"

"Yes chubby cheeks."

"My cheeks are not chubby right Katie?" I looked over to Katie.

"Yeah they arent Daves just messing with you."
