Chapter 7- Promposal and Problems

Oh my globzz! I can't believe we have to go to the mall for a class meeting! Ugh! It's the day before the ball and no one asked me yet. Oh well. Dayum! It's already 10:30,
I need to meet them at 11:30!

I take a quick bath and put on a lace-ish teal sweater and skinny jeans. I put on my converse and do my ritual for the flat and go down stairs. Crab! Why didn't I use the elevator?! I run faster then trip. Pity.

I get to the parking lot and hop into my car and race off. I get to the mall at exactly 11:15 and run to Starbucks. Nobody is here! Why. All of a sudden, I hear a cricket sound and think WTF, why are there crickets in here?

I then jump in shock to someone who is on his knees asking me to go to the ball with him. It's Jack. Unbelievably, Finn's here. I guess it's as support but FML.

"Shailene Michaels, will you go to the Christmas Ball with me or nah?"

"Of course, Jack. I wouldn't be able to say no."

I see Finn glare from a distance but why does he care?

"Thanks, Shails."

"Welcs."

"Let's get a coffee."

"Okay, what do you want?"

"Stop pretending you dunno! Of course ya know!"

"Coffee with extra sugar and extra cream without milk and a dash of vanilla."

"That's ma boy!"

"Hahaha."

As Jack walks away to order, surprisingly Finn approaches me.

"Why in da world did Jack ask you? You're probably the last person he asked."

"Hahahaha.(same-toned laugh and a dash of sarcasm) Nice one, Finn. "

"Thanks..........wait, what?!"

"Nice one."

"Why did you agree? You're supposed to get mad at me and have a fight with me."

"Is that why you always make fun of me?"

"No."

"Why is that all ya said?"

"..."

"Gonna cry?"

"No."

"Okay."

"Shailee, why is Finn teary- eyed?"

"Cause he's a big, fat jekwad!"

I grab my coffee and leave. Finn's so annoying! Ugh! But why do I still have feelings for him? My mind says no but my heart says yes. I walk towards my car and hear footsteps. Fast ones. Jack.

"Shailee! Don't leave please! My brother's a jerk. please don't leave. For me?"

"No. *sobs* I dunno why your brother hates me."

"He just....he.....well...he has some problems."

"You don't say."

Jack laughs, wipes my tears, and kisses my forehead. I hug him and get in my car.

I drive and drive 'til I have even driven past my home and went straight to where Finn is. Jack texted me that after he got back to the restaurant, Finn had already gone to his place. I went straight to Mulligianas and knocked three times. The bouncer looked through the peephole and let me in.

So this is a short chapter...tho all my chapters are short.. oh well.
