Hii! This is the first phanfic that I've properly tried to write  and I'm incredibly scared to publish it, but yolo, right? Cries in the distance.  I hope it's not too cheesy and cliché, and that it is actually enjoyable.

Votes and some feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I hope you like it.

If Dan could write a book it would probably be called "Mondays suck". Well, of course, in his opinion every workday sucked, but he had an especially romantic relationship with Mondays, to be more specific they both hated each other. Since that Monday when he had fallen down the stairs in nursery school, he somehow had managed to get unlucky every single Monday. And right now, when he was 15 minutes late to his first class, this Monday didn't seem to be any different.

"Mr. Howell, what a pleasure to have you joining us," Dan's history teacher Ms. Andrews greeted the boy in her usual cheerful manner.

Few of the kids in the classroom laughed as Dan moved forward and slumped heavily in his seat in the back. Usually he would have answered with something sarcastic, because he felt like he needed to keep up his reputation as the cheeky social outcast, but first, it was still way too early and he was still half asleep, and second, he had to admit that Ms. Andrews scared him. But hey, who wouldn't be scared of a lady who seemed to be 100 years old and smelled like dead animals.

Dan opened his notebook and lazily started to copy the notes off the blackboard, trying not to fall asleep. Unfortunately, even he wasn't a heavenly creature who could concentrate in this boring class, so his notebook ended up with three sentences written in it and the rest of the page filled with weird doodles.

When there were about 5 minutes left of the lesson, Ms. Andrews stopped talking to mostly herself and put the giant book she was reading the text from on her desk. Everyone started to pack their things but Ms. Andrews coughed impatiently.

"You are not dismissed just yet," she said while looking exactly as friendly as a pitbull ready to bite. "After this period you all are welcomed to join your headmistress in the assembly where a lovely young gentleman will tell you about a really interesting future career choice."

Did she seriously not realise how sarastc that sounded? The devil ignored all of the kids' groans as she slammed her fist on table.

"All of you. Without exceptions," she scolded. "You are dismissed."

Dan sighed as he gathered his things. Today really wasn't the day when he wanted to listen to some inspirational speaker. There just simply wasn't anything to inspire. Just when Dan walked out of the class he got pushed against the closest wall and there was suddenly an arm wrapped around his neck, chocking him. Dan looked in his attackers face and saw the familar blue eyes that belonged to his biggest, and in most cases only, bully Oliver. Just great.

"You look just spectacular today," he said with a smirk. "And with spectacular I meant even more ugly than usually."

Some would think that a boy chocking another boy would attract some attention, but no one even looked twice at them. These were the wonderful perks of studying in public school. Everyone was used to this kind of scene and they didn't want to end up being the ones pushed against that wall. Dan knew he definitely wasn't the only one who got bullied nor was he bullied the worst, so his situation wasn't anything special or worth attention.

"Leave me alone, Oliver," Dan muttered, his voice weak, because the other boy's hand was still kind of blocking Dan's airways.

"But where would be fun in that?" he asked, his smirk growing wider. Dan well knew what would follow so he just closed his eyes an let Oliver push him on the ground and kick his ribcage, adding another bruise to the ones which were already covering Dan's body. Fun fun fun.

"Okay then, see you later, princess," Oliver smiled and gave the boy on the groud one last kick and then just walked away like nothing had happened.

Dan winced in pain when he stood up and picked his things up from the ground. His body felt sore and the new bruises hurt badly, but he wasn't much bothered by it. He was pretty used to things like that happening.

He ignored people's pitiful glances and started to move in assembly's direction. When he got there the door wasn't open yet so he joined other people sitting on the ground and spent a little while feeling sorry for himself. Dan knew that he deserved the beating and all the slurs thrown in his direction. He knew that Oliver was right, that he was a disgrace to human race, that he had born wrong and had to fix it, but he just didn't know how. How do you make your brain like girls the same way you like boys?

Dn knew how naive his thoughts were, but he couldn't help but wish for someone to save him. He wished for someone who would hold him in their arms and whisper sweet nothings into Dan's ear until he started to believe in them. He wished for somebody to tell him he was okay the way he was, that he didn't need to change in order to be accepted. Dan quickly stopped his thoughts, repeating his life motto over and over in his head.

"You don't need anybody to save you, you are the hero of your own life," he whispered quietly.

Finally school's headmistress showed up and unlocked the door to assembly. Dan stood up from his place on the ground and went inside the room, finding a seat somewhere in middle to not drawn much attention to him. He could hear someone fighting about seats behind him, but he just ignored them and made himself more comfortable, hoping to relax his aching muscles.

Around him everyone else finally took their seats and the headmistress spoke into the micraphone.

"Hello, young ladies and gentlemens. Today we are joined by a young man with an interesting career choice and he wishes to tell you all about it. Let's welcome Philip Lester."

At this moment time stopped. The entire world stopped spinning and Dan stopped breathing. He slowly watched as the boy who meant the whole world to him stepped on the small stage and awkwardly took the microphone. He watched him as he started to speak, how his delicate lips slowly formed words, how a tiny blush appeared on his cheeks as if he was feeling quite insecure up there. Dan watched as he giggled nervously and as his corners of mouth tugged up in a smile.

He couldn't believe it. His entire world was standing in front of him. Dan heard few girls whispering excitedly because they recognised the boy on the stage, but Dan stayed silent and amazed. He couldn't stop watching him, he couldn't believe that Phil Lester was actually a real living creature standing right in front of him. If Dan wanted he could run up to him, hug him and never let go.

But he couldn't do that just yet so he stayed sitting.

So, yeah, that was the first chapter. Please remeber to like or comment if you thought it was decent. I'll try to upload as often as I can, if any of you actually show interest.

Thanks for reading.
