Note: Thank you @TimelineStix13 for giving me ideas! This happening in space (also inspired by anime Astra Lost In Space)— — — — —
Sabre POVMy body was heaving, or struggling to breathe at least, confined to a med-bay bed. I saw it, though I was basically in a vegetative state.
How can I see that? Is that one of those out-of-body experiences I heard can happen in these parts of space? It surely can't be the space that caused this, I did get a big smack to the head when we were running from a quick cave-in and I haven't been sleeping well ever since we arrived on the moon of Saturn. Can that cause this.. thing? that's happening?
I see myself limp on the bed, other crew mates panicking and trying to help me. If I even can be helped.
Am I the only one with this problem? Surely someone else must have this experience too, right?
"Guys! I just found Lucas! And he ain't in a good shape either." Spency came into the room, dragging unconscious Lucas behind him.
"No.. Him too?! What happened back there??" Ryan, who loved galactic sciences, held his head, stressed out.
"I don't know! We were just exploring a cave with signs of others, maybe aliens or other groups of us, having been there. We split up to cover more ground and soon the cave started shaking and we had to run out." Ryan helped Lucas onto the bed I was on since it was large one, I and Lucas getting a slight electric shock when our hands touched momentarily. I felt myself fade away and I felt I was back in my body.
There's something wrong with my mind, right? Please no, the last therapists and psychologists needed their own therapists and psychologists. I don't want that happening again ':/
After the shock, it took us both a few minutes to regain consciousness, much to the crew's relief. We were dizzy and groaned in discomfort. Ow. My whole body ached rather than just my head and neck. And my legs and arms felt unnaturally hot. Meanwhile, Lucas complained about tickling sensations all over his body, parts sometimes going completely numb.
"Whatever happened to you..?" We were all sitting around the round table, all eyes set on us two. It was very uncomfortable.
"I don't know." We said honestly. I know I touched something that made me itch and that was it. I think. Man, I'm not sure if I did anything else too-
"How?? You two must have something in common that you fell unconscious and now complain about weird feelings in your body!"
"... We were both split into the mining section?" Lucas pointed out uncertainly.
"Did you both do something there that could make that happen?"
"I touched a weird-looking rock?" We said in union, surprising each other.
"A weird-looking rock? Seriously?"
"Yeah?"
"We all had our suits on, how can possibly touching something affect you through your suit?"
"It worked like a a combination of air and acid. It made its way through the material and then into their systems." Our teacher who accompanied us in this journey heard our conversation and joined us in the table. "This is certainly a concerning occurrence since no other has been genetically altered by those crystals."
