Day 21 | Guilt

AU: Sabre the Legal Vigilante
Type: Angsty, not as dramatic as I wanted it to be- :'D
Characters: Sabre, Void, Rainbow, players, Time, literally anyone alive?

Sabre POV

I as chasing down the last villain, Void as he called himself. He was certainly making it hard to capture him because he was the most powerful of all the villains so far. Do you believe me when I say he kidnapped all Steves from the Rainbow Kingdom, took them outside the walls to the land of Darkness, his home, and is now broadcasting this trial for them to watch my demise? I hope you do.

And Void must've been watching me because he chose the "best" time to challenge me too -
1) I was very weak - both mentally and physically.
2) I had done something secretly few days prior and still keeping that up is even more exhausting and uncomfortable too because of reasons.
3) This last week has been filled with too much mental instability that I could break down right now. So many memories and truth revealed that I'm already crying.
4) YESTERDAY, only YESTERDAY! I had fought off Plague, but at the cost of getting sick.

Yeah, I was running a considerably high fever, my head was pounding, my cheeks were wet, eyes crying, skin snow pale, forehead's sweat both warm and cold - from this trial running, jumping, climbing and the latter from still being ill. All this was making me lightheaded and slightly nauseous. Void's poison and harmony traps and his own powers weren't helping nor the fact I couldn't use my own abilities as a Player. This stupid 'StEvE eNtItY' was stopping and glitching it! Really not my day.

"You can do it Sabre." I heard a new familiar voice inside my head, easing the ache and numbing pain just a bit. "I know you're strong. You just have to bear it a little longer and we can stop this."

"Yeah... I know Rain..Thanks of actually talking and helping my struggle."

"... Wait, I'm doing this?"

"I- Yeah?"

"Oh, wow, REALLY?! THAT'S SO COOL, I DIDN'T KNOW I COULD DO THAT! Though, now thinking about it, I guess I do feel that. Huh, how wonderful."

"You don't even know you're using them??"

"You don't seem to know that you're using yours too, helping ME."

"Wait what? I can't do that-"

"Yes you can? You uncorrupted me from Darkness quite quickly when we met and restored my colour."

"Wait, what? When I saw you, you already were with bright colours?"

"... You sure that blindfold isn't actually making you blind? HOW?? OH, WATCH OUUUTTT!!!" He screamed in my head which this time wasn't helping. Luckily, Rainbow had somehow healed me well enough for me to continue forward. Void noticed I was in a bit better shape than in the beginning and made actual void rise up in thin but dangerous layers.

I whistled a specific code in a certain tone, only Players like me hearing it.

Hello, old friend. Here's misery that knows no end.
   I felt this Steve Entity sown into me break into million pieces, sending a massive jolt of pain through my body which led me to scream out an agonising yell. It was broken. I fell down on the ground, my head appearing to be bleeding from either the impact or void layers piercing through me. Rainbow, who merging himself with me to escape, yelled something with panic, but his voice was distant. Moments later, I felt my body rise and start limping to go further. Rainbow must've taken control. Good, just as planned...
