Grace :
Power has a dark side. When someone gains power, they can become twisted and use it to hurt others. It can crush their dreams and make them do terrible things. Adrik wielded his power to forcibly marry me, using my brother's life as a bargaining chip. I'll never forgive him for the pain he's caused.
Confusion swirls within me, and I'm consumed by the need to understand why he married me. Despite my fear and anger, curiosity gets the best of me, and I finally muster the courage to inquire, my voice quivering with emotion, "Adrik, why did you marry me?"
Adrik's eyes remain fixed on his phone for a while longer, and I start to wonder if he's even going to acknowledge my presence. But then, his voice cuts through the heavy silence.
"Your father wanted you to marry me," he states matter-of-factly.
Didn't he kill my father? The flood of memories and emotions comes rushing back, and my eyes fill with tears.
"Didn't you... didn't you kill my father?" I manage to choke out, my voice trembling under the weight of my emotions.
Adrik's response is chilling in its indifference. "Yes, I did. So?"
His callous admission hits me like a sledgehammer. The man I'm now bound to, married to against my will, is not just a stranger but also the person responsible for my father's death. The tears I had been holding back finally betrayed me, and a single teardrop rolled down my cheek.
"You are a monster," I whisper, my voice filled with a mixture of anger, grief, and despair.
"And you are my wife, wife of a monster," Adrik sneers, his eyes darkening with intensity.
Adrik's words cut through me like a knife and the truth in them stings. I never imagined myself in this position—married to a man responsible for my father's death and who now threatens my brother's life. I try to muster some semblance of strength, wiping away the tears with the back of my hand and staring out the window.
I don't respond to his cruel remark, realizing that arguing with him at this moment would be futile. Instead, I turn my gaze away from him and focus on the passing cityscape outside the car window, my thoughts a tumultuous mix of fear, anger, and a profound sense of helplessness.

"Awake, Luna," his voice murmurs, his warm breath grazing my neck.
"No, let me sleep," I mumble, clinging to him.
"Luna, this is not the time to sleep, it's time to fuck." his words wake me up
Huh? Adrik. Marriage
I quickly detach myself from him and move to the opposite corner of the seat.
"Did you sleep well?" he inquires, wearing a smirk.
"How long was I asleep?" I ask him while fixing my hair.
"Two hours," he replies casually.
"Two hours? We still haven't reached your penthouse?" I questioned, my brows furrowing in confusion.
Adrik glanced at me with a faint smirk. "If you look around," he began, amusement dancing in his eyes, "you'll see we've already been here for an hour."
I blinked, a mix of surprise and irritation crossing my face. "Then why didn't you wake me up?"
His smirk widened into a sly grin. "Figured you might need your rest," he replied, his gaze piercing, "to prepare for what's coming."
"W-what do you mean?" I stammered, my anxiety growing palpable.
Adrik leaned closer, his voice laced with dark amusement. "Come on, wife," he murmured, a sinister smile playing on his lips, "welcome to hell." With that, he pulled me out of his car, and I couldn't shake the feeling that my life had just taken a terrifying turn.
