LIFE OF PRATANU BANERJEE

Pratanu Banerjee (Bengali: প্রতনু ব্যানার্জী) is an Indian Music Teacher, Reiki Grandmaster, English and French Language teacher, Anthropology, Hospital Administration teacher and pitman shorthand trainer. Pratanu works as a Music teacher and Reiki Healer at Institute of Performing Art and Mind Power Development. As a music teacher, he teaches keyboard, harmonica, flute, spanish guitar and music therapy.

Early days

Born and brought up in Calcutta, Pratanu completed his schooling from Cossipore English School (Class X) and St. Thomas Church School (Class 2 to 9). He did his graduation in Anthropology B. Sc. Hons from Bangabasi College, Kolkata. Hed had been trained in French Language from Alliance Francaise de Calcutta. He used to work for Infovision Software Private Limited, Infoscribe, Upwork, Khatra Adibasi Culture and Development Center, World Yoga Society, Cancer Foundation of India, Bisnupur Uchchcal Probaho, Sodpur Srijony Welfare Society, Help in Homework, Divya Shlokam Media Network, Minting Passion, Millionify, etc.

Career

Pratanu's initiation in music was mainly through Mr. Tarak Roy who was associated with Music Composer Sudhin Dasgupta. He had taught Keyboard for 10 years. He had also taught Harmonica for 1 year to Pratanu banerjee. Pratanu Banerjee got inspiration about learning keyboard from his father Swapan Banerjee, his father. Swapan Banerjee had been trained in vocal from Dwijen Bandyopadhyay and he had training in Harmonium and singing from various reputed teachers like Anal Chatterjee. His father loved harmonica and he had inspired Pratanu Banaerjee to play harmonica. While still in school, he took lessons in playing keyboard and harmonica. While working as public relations in NGO sector, Pratanu Banerjee came in touch with Mr. Trinesh Dewanjee of Sodpur Srijony Welfare Society who taught him Vocal, Hawaian Guitar, Spanish Guitar, Flute and NGO activities. He was associated with Sodpur Srijony Welfare Society for five years. He had done Music therapy projects and Musician Promotion project under the guidance of Trinesh Dewanjee.

Pratanu Banerjee expressed his thoughts through poetry and music. His poem talked about nature, life and love. He loved writing about the places he travelled like Mandarmani, Talsari, Bakkhali, etc. After completing his anthropology, he took up a job as a medical transcriptionist after completing a course at Infovision software private limited. He had learnt French language from Alliance Francaise de Calcutta and Science Communication and Media Practice from Indian Science News Association. He quit his job, and took up public relations of NGO. He worked with NGOs like Bisnupur Uchchal Probaho, Khatra Adibasi Culture and Development Center and Sodpur Srijony Welfare Society. He relocated to Kolkata from Kadamtala Howrah.

After working in Medical Transcription field for 6 years, he started working as a freelance Content Writer at Upwork. He worked in Upwork for 4 years. Then he worked at World Yoga Society for 1 year. Then he worked at Passionate Futurist Solutions Private limited for 5 years as a Business Developer. He had also worked for Sahara India for one day as a Freelance Stenographer for one day. He got the brilliant opportunity to work for Subrata Roy as a stenographer for one day. He had got one complete suit, lunch and Rs. 500 for one day assignment near a halll at Science City, EM Bypass, Kolkata.

Pratanu Banerjee worked for many companies as a freelance content writer. He had worked for a company named School Dekho which is based in North 24 parganas as a freelance writer. He had worked for Help in Homework, a company based in Rajasthan. He had contributed as a freelance Content Writer for Minting Passion, a company based in Delhi. He had worked for Content Whale, a company based in Mumbai. He had been associated with RB Sorting Hat Private Limited, a company based in Chennai. He had worked for Canada based company Divya Shlokam Media Network as a content writer.
