They had finally reached the new house. It looked old and rickety, like it would break down when they put their foot in the door. The walls on the outside were painted a light baby blue, which was peeling off the house, in small little flakes. There was also a pink shed in the backyard, and a basement and attic, the paint also peeling. The paint chips that were peeling off made a little circle around the house and the shed, almost like a salt circle or snow.

There were random nails sticking out of the porch steps. It was definitely not a good first impression. It didn't look child safe at all. Days-E held her stuffed bear close to chest. She never named them, but they always helped her when she was nervous or stressed. This was one of those moments. She wanted to go home.

"Well this is it Daisy! Isn't this exciting? I know that it looks scary at first, but soon enough it will be home! Well let's go inside!" Days-E walked with her mom. This wasn't ever going to be "home" to her. It was just going to be a scary, not well built house that they lived in.

The inside was somehow even worse. Half of the walls were a pale blue color, like the color of the walls on the outside, but just darker. The other walls were the exact shade of pink as the shed in the backyard. The paint is peeling just like the outside walls. The tops and bottoms of the walls are caked in a green mold. The ceiling was a light tan color, almost like a poisoned vanilla ice cream. A couch, chair, and table was in the living room. It was also moldy, and Days-E saw 3 cockroaches crawl out of it.

The house smelled like a sewer. She didn't know why her mom decided to get this house. It was big sure, but was almost covered in mold, and it was broken beyond repair, at least for them. If they were to hire people to do it it would be way too much money. She hugged her bear tighter, trying to let her mom know that she didn't want to be there, or at this house at all.

"Daisy honey, you need to be more grateful! I sold the house and moved here for you to make friends. To be able to get an education. I know that the house might look bad now, but we're going to be able to fix it. Now.. Do you want to go to the other rooms, backyard, basement, or attic next? 1 for other rooms, 2 for backyard, 3 for basement, and 4 for attic." Days-E held up a 2 with her fingers. She definitely didn't want to go to the creepy attic or basement, and she was bored of the moldy rooms. She also needed a breath of fresh air.

"Alright! Let's go to the backyard! We're also going to see the shed! This is going to be so exciting!" Days-E thought that her mom was way too excited to move here. She wouldn't ever understand. Another thing that she wouldn't understand is why this old town was so depressing. It was gray and sad. She wished that there was at least some color so it would be more approachable.

When they got to the backyard it was way better than the house. It was still bad, but it was better. The grass was a gray ashy color. There was glass and rusty nails sticking up from the ground, so Days-E had to be careful with where she stepped, because it could easily break through her thin shoe sole and stab her.

"Isn't this going to be a nice yard to play in when we clean it up?" Days-E didn't nod, she hated this yard, the shed, the house, just everything. This wasn't home.
"Daisy, you better be happy about this! You're being ungrateful. I sold our old house just so we could get this. And this was just so you could get a better education. Be able to meet more people like you. You didn't have any friends at your normal school so now you'll be able to make friends easier! My parents would never ever give me anything like this, so you better be grateful!"

Days-E nodded sadly. It felt like her mom had slapped her. Saying that 'She didn't have any normal friends.' She wanted to cry. It felt like her mom had said 'you're not normal, in fact you're the opposite of normal. And Jessica? She was never friends with you. If she was, she wasn't normal. And I'm allowed to treat you like this because my parents treated me worse.'

When walking towards the shed to see what was inside, Days-E cried out silently. But it was loud enough that her mom heard. She had accidentally stepped on one of the rusty nails. It had gone through her sole into her foot. She went to her knees, crying.
"Oh.. Daisy!" She went to Days-E and took off her shoe, seeing the nail in her foot, she grabbed it. "Ok, i'm going to pull it out on 1. 3.." Days-E tried to pull her arm away.. She was in so much pain she cried.
"2.." She then ripped it out on 2. Blood came pouring out of Days-E's foot. Tears flowed out of Days-E's eyes. Her mom then quickly wrapped a paper towel over the deep stab. Doing nothing else.
"There you go.. Now follow me.. We're almost at the shed, only 15 more steps!" She looked giddy, walking to the shed. Days-E couldn't even walk on foot. It was bleeding so much that she was getting light headed. It had stabbed around a penny deep into the skin. She hopped far behind. She couldn't walk.

When she finally got to the shed it was the only place that looked livable. It was just a normal shed. At least it didn't have any mold. In fact if she had a choice, she would sleep here. Tools were lined up along the wall, one being a giant chainsaw. There was also a deer head on the wall, probably the last owner's kill. It was creepy, but livable.

Days-E went on the stool that was in the corner to see what was on the counters. It was 13 old crayons from decades ago. Days-E picked them up and put them in her pocket. She was wearing a rainbow shirt, with overalls over it, the overalls having shorts. She couldn't find a box for them, so she just put the crayons in her pocket. Her mom didn't let her use crayons, or anything to draw. So this was an amazing find.

"It seems that you like the shed the most... Thats strange.." Her mom said, concerned. Days-E nodded ecstatically. She had liked she shed the most. Compared to the rest of the places they saw for the house this was by far the best. She would have this room as her room if she could.

"I'm going to have this as my office. You won't be allowed to be in here, understand?" She said sternly. Days-E nodded sadly. She really liked the shed. It had a lot of areas to play and draw. And there were even toys in the corner. But Days-E's mom threw them out. So Days-E would "focus on education". Days-E always focused on education, or at least tried to. Although it was kind of hard with what she was having to deal with. She then left the shed. They then had to go to the attic, basement, and the other rooms.
"Ok Daisy, basement, attic, or other rooms?" Her mom did the same thing as earlier, holding up a number for each thing. Days-E reluctantly chooses 3, for the other rooms. Now they were walking back to the house from the back yard, trying to watch every step, to make sure that the nail incident would not happen again.
