- chapter [3] - "Underground laboratory?!" -

yello-hello guys! welcome to chapter 3! i hope you enjoyed 2 previous chapters!
moving on the chapter! also sorry for not uploasing it cuz..i got lazy and also school stuff-

Pear and the person entered the bathroom,The place looked kinda clean,it also had 5 seperate showers with no curtains (damn- they really need privacy-💀), 3 mirror with 3 sinks infront of them,on the floor there were some kinda weird...wine-red and sticky stains?.
"uh.." pear looked at the stained floor in disgust "what are..these?" he looked at the person,just now he noticed a nametag on that person,on the tag there was a text 'cantaloupe' (idk how to explain cleary so ye-)
"oh just..Wine stains from boardy." Cantaloupe explained "He always spills his cheap headache wine..everywhere.."
"uh..who is this..boardy guy?" Pear tilted his head
"oh..its a smart board with brown goggles and some eyeliner" Cantaloupe answered
"oh."Pear nodded and looked around more "so uh... what kind of place are we?"
"the place? its the restroom" Cantaloupe said
"i meant the building"
"oh-" Cantaloupe sighed "We are in an Underground laboratory"
"Underground laboratory?!" Pear's eyes widened "y-your joking..right?!"
"no,i am not joking, kid" Cantaloupe said
"but..but how did they built a laboratory there?"
"i still dont know...boss didnt told me..yet" Cantaloupe sighed
"well uh.." pear looked at cantaloupe "Is there any more things at the lab..?"
Cantaloupe looked back at the pear
"well actually..there is"
"like what?" pear tilted his head in curiousity
"like..experimenting on fruits,vegetables,objects and other things.."
"huh?! what?!!?!" Pear's eyes widened even more..he knew that he got kidnapped but he didnt know that he will be used for some kind of sick experiments! "are the others fruits that also got kidnapped?" pear asked
"well,i saw them bringing more of fruits,and a vegetable" Cantaloupe answered,he looked nervously at the camera that was in corner "we gotta go back to your cell.."
"huh?" Pear looked confused "why?"
"Boss might be suspicious why arent you in your cell.." Cantaloupe explained "cmon.." He walked towards the exit of the bathroom,Pear looked around one more time and followed him.
As they were walking in The cell hall,they met up with boardy
"oh hiya Cantaloupe!" Boardy Smiled like a freaking psycho,Which made pear have chills down of his back
"oh. good evening Boardy" Cantaloupe Answered "02 needed to use the restroom" He lied,Pear nodded along.
"Hmmm...Okay!" Boardy said "better get them back to their cell or else boss will be mad!"
"yes yes i know.." The big fruit sighed and opened the door to 02's room,He entered it,Pear also entered
"im sorry, i dont want to do this but..i have too.." Cantaloupe sighed sadly,opening the cell door with a keycard
"wait..!" Pear quickly said "i have an question!"
"what is it.?"
"Are the cameras..always on?" Pear asked
"they are but.." cantaloupe replied "the security guard sometimes looks at them"
"sometimes?"
"yeah..sometimes, well..better get in or we both get in great trouble"
Pear looked at cantaloupe and entered the cell,Cantaloupe closed the glass door with keycard
"look kid..." Cantaloupe looked down,he looked...sad.. "i will try to..help you all..escape.."
Pear nodded. He watched as the big fruit walked out of the room,slowly.

Cantaloupe began to walk towards the janitor's closet to start cleaning. then. He noticed slightly opened door at his boss's office. He walked inside slowly and took a peak. nobody but cantaloupe was inside but..something else caught his attention..
a small bag was laying on the desk. Cantaloupe walked closer and opened the bag to reveal..flower seeds...
"huh..?" Cantaloupe tilted his head "why would boss have Flower seeds in his office..?" He asked himself,still looking at the seeds, then suddenly..cantaloupe felt somebody grabbing his shoulder
"AH-" He jumped a bit and turned around to see..Donut - The security guard
"what are you doing in here?" Donut asked looking at him "werent you going to start cleaning soon?"
"well uh..." Cantaloupe started to sweat,but in that time. Donut noticed the bag that the big fruit was holding in his hand
"what is that?" Donut grabbed the bag and took a look inside "flower seeds?"
"yeah, boss has these..i dont know when he had these tho.." Cantaloupe said
"hmmm...okay" Donut nodded, he wanted to place the bag down on it's place but he accidently Grabbed the wrong corner (or smth) of it and all of the seeds poured into announcer's fresh made coffee!

Cantaloupe and Donut froze in place
"oh shit.." Donut Whispered
"what did you do?!" Cantaloupe started to get nervous..
"it was an accident!"
"i know it was an accident! we will get in big trouble if boss notices it!"
"we better get the fuck out of his office!"
They both ran off..

MEANWHILE....

Announcer and Boardy were walking trough the cell hall,they were doing the check up for the night.
"okay! so we checked 01,02,03 and 04!" Boardy said,looking at his clipboard
"mhm..yeah" Announcer nodded
"wait.." Boardy paused and stopped for a minute "is it me or...i hear someone playing on harmonica.?"
Announcer also stopped in his tracks. he also heard it
"well..i also hear it." he said
they both were silent for like.. 2 minutes before saying "meh" and moved onto the checking.

SOMETIME LATER. 9PM

Announcer entered his office
"finaly..the check-up is over" he yawned,he took a seat in his desk,announcer grabbed his cup of coffee "mm...still hot." he took a sip,the coffee tasted...unusually..weird.. He took an other sip,the coffee tasted weird again
"probably just my imagination.." announcer sighed as he drank his coffee,he didnt know that the seed planted inside of him...he really didnt know..

Meanwhile,in one of the subjects' cell, a red fruit named apple, also 'names' 06 was playing on his harmonica
"ughh..." he stopped for a bit. He couldnt believe that he got kidnapped and locked in a cell! then apple continued to play on the harmonica until he heard a yell from the next room
"hey can you keep it down?! im trying to sleep!" The voice yelled
"well! not my problem that im bored!" Apple yelled back
then another voice from other room screamed
"shut up assholes! People are trying to sleep!"
"Oh yeah?!" The 1st voice yelled "who are you then!?"
"im pear!" 2nd voice sighed loudly
"Wowzers these walls arent soundproof tho!" Apple said
"can you keep it down?" broccoli from other cell said "i cant focus on my notes!"
"WELL sorry but No!" The 1st voice said, it was clearly orange's voice "because SOMEBODY'S fatass wont stop playing ON A FUCKING HARMONICA!"
"SHUT UP!" Apple yelled
"CAN YOU ALL SHUT THE FUCK UP?!" Boardy from cell hall yelled "IM TRYING TO DRINK MY WINE IN FUCKING PEACE AND HARMONY!'
all of the yelling went silence
"god..!" Boardy sighed and went back to breakroom
