this book will always be my favorite thing that i've ever written, even long after it's concluded! i'm so proud of it and i'm glad everybody enjoys it as much as i do writing it.

luckily, we still have the rest of this act + one last act and maybe some bonus scenes before we fully end this.

The kitchen was lit up with the mouthwatering aroma of the dinner that Nica was currently preparing. The woman had insisted on cooking for her guests and was determined to make this night as enjoyable as she possibly could. (Y/n) and Alice were by her side, offering any help they could but Nica couldn't help but notice how seemingly tense the other woman had become ever since the doll had arrived to the home. She wanted to think nothing of it but really, it was difficult to not notice the strange mannerisms.

Alice was in her own little world, mindlessly playing around with Chucky's overalls while the ginger haired doll stayed motionless. His crystal blue eyes and wide innocent grin made (Y/n)'s heart race as she knew that the evil soul of a murderer resided inside of it. She wasn't sure if anyone here knew of the doll's past or specifically her past with the doll. She just really wanted to do whatever she needed to do and leave.

Tiffany's betrayal had settled quite heavily on her mind but she wasn't sure if teaming up with Chucky was a good idea or not. It seemed like the route to go at the time when her mind was clouded up by a sheen of anger and confusion, but now she was sort of dreading what this meant for her. Technically, Tiffany couldn't be angry with her when she had also teamed up with Chucky behind her back as well. The blonde was smart too so she most likely knew what was up.

Alice hopped up onto a chair and faced her aunt as the woman held a spoon up to her mouth, making a low approving hum at the taste. "Mm! It's really good" She smiled happily at the older woman.

"It's the oregano" Nica reached out and playfully pinched the cheeks of her niece. "Let's go see if the table's all set for dinner, huh? Chucky can stay here for now." The woman smiled and gave the (h/c) haired woman one last look before she exited the kitchen with Alice in tow.

(Y/n) released a sigh of discomfort, about to step out when she heard a soft noise behind her. She whirled around and spotted the ginger haired doll leaning over one of the bowls with a container in his small, grubby hands. A closer look at the label revealed that it was rat poison that he was currently dumping into one of the bowls. He grinned manically at her.
