A/N: Sorry I haven't written in a while! I've been really busy with school, sports, babysitting, etc. Also I've had a little writer's block. Thank you guys so much for reading! Currently at 274 reads! I'm so happy! Anyway I hope you enjoy this one. The first bit is when Annabeth is searching for Percy but it progresses quickly through and gets to the point.

I sprinted away from the huge dog with terrifying red eyes. My blonde hair was blowing in the wind and my blue eyes were getting dry. I spotted a nearby cafe and headed towards it. There was surely somebody who could call animal control there.

I was about to open the door to the building when it was thrown open instead by a girl with blonde hair that flowed in princess curls. She had calculating gray eyes, but they were stained with red, as if she'd been crying.

She looked at me, then at the terrifying beast coming up behind me. To my surprise, she pulled out a dagger and in about 10 seconds, the monster was gone. All that remained was a large pile of golden dust.

I stared at the girl in awe and shock. "Did you see that?" She asked me. "Of course I saw that!" I exclaimed. "Tha-that monster was about to kill me. A-and then you pulled out a knife and y-you turned it into dust!"

The girl sighed. "I guess I'll have to get you to camp," she grumbled. "Would you like a coffee first?"

We sat across from each other with our coffees. "Why didn't you already have a coffee?" I asked. "You we're walking out when I ran into you." She looked down and sipped her drink. "This was my boyfriend and I's favorite cafe. But now...he's disappeared. I just couldn't bring myself to buy anything." I had to strain to stop myself from giving her an emotional support hug. "Oh," I said instead.

"So what was that monster thing?" I asked. "That was a Hellhound," she answered. "Listen, Tyler, right? You are a demigod. Half mortal, half god. Who is your guardian?" I stuttered, "My parents died when I was little. I ran away from child support." She gave me a sympathetic smile. "Well, one of your parents is a god, and unless you want to run into one of those Hellhounds—or worse—unprepared again, you need to come with me." I gave her a puzzled look. "Where are we going?" I asked. "To Camp."

A/N: Okay this was really short I know and it's probably really bad, but I promise I'll write more soon! I have the whole story planned out, I just need time! Kronos please help me for once!! Hope you all enjoyed this little something and please vote and comment!
